If that Mustafi tackle was fair, Jack Stephens was innocent of all charges!

Don’t know about anyone else but Brentford losing yesterday was so disappointing for me.

Really want them promoted and especially in place of WBA, but it looks like they blew their chance for automatics.

I’m not surprised he hasn’t done the job well. He is a bit of an odd ball and that approach often doesn’t last long. Players get bored of the quirkiness quickly.

In a different style, Pards was like that if you look at his record. Comes in with some ‘different’ methods and gets early success, before players get used to his ways and find it samey and the affect wears off as things start to go down hill.

Pearson's short tenure at St Mary's was generally considered successful by most Saints fan and there are many who believe Ranieri's success at Leicester was built upon the groundwork Pearson had carried out. As someone said in here this week, the problem with Watford is the fact that have a large squad of players who are not up to it. It will be an interesting conclusion to the relegation battle and, whatever the outcome, I think Pearson is the man to turn their fortunes around,

Many Saints fans I've spoken to didn't rate Pearson very highly.

    That's not what he said.

Whether you rated Pearson or not, his spell here was successful and he kept us up against the odds.

I found him just what we needed, Hard disciplined and highly proffesional. Got the job done, In what was a highly uncertain time for me anyway.

We were 18th (I think) when he took us over. I don't think we had ever been in the relegation zone that season beforehand. Three months later, we were in the bottom three going into the final day.

He lead us to a 5-0 defeat against a side we had beaten 4-0 earlier in the season, before he took us over.

In my experience, a lot of Saints fans remember that final day win much more than what came before it. Shearer's time at Newcastle was consider a disaster, with them ultimately being relegated on the final day vs Villa. But you can guarantee if they had instead beaten Villa and stayed up, he'd be an even greater legend in their eyes. The ultimate, final outcome can cloud anything.

Shock horror, I'm in the camp who didn't rate him. It's harsh, but I'll have a wry smile if Watford go down.

Also think Pearson did a good job here.

He turned an absolutely awful, disinterested side into an disciplined, hard-working one.

Sorry Pearson was taking them down. That first half against West Ham was abysmal. Nothing to lose (apart from a few quid) by sacking him.

I still cant see Bournemouth winning at Goodson, as poor as they have been this season, especially since the re-start. Seriously, if they dont beat us I can see them going down.

Are the owners of Watford also in charge of a team in other leagues - I thought they like to stick their snout into things too far. And I’ve never liked anything about Watford, shame we cant lose 4 or 5 teams this year up to WHU...
