Do you remember a lad called Office? He's as mad as a hatter, he was hardcore. He lives just around the corner, he says he's retired but I'm not so sure. He's alright like.
He has regaled me many times of when the old bill raided his house at 6am one morning for his hooligan-related doings. Lying in bed his missus shouted: "Who the ****s that?" as the bizzies broke down his front door. His reply: "I dont know but it isnt the milkman!"
I find Leeds fans are a bit like Everton fans, they think they're a huge club that everyone cares about (they both love calling themselves a big club, which is completely meaningless) yet they're nothing that anybody cares about
I've never heard anyone say much about either club to be honest. They're past even being disliked now, they're just irrelevant. Everton have somehow achieved complete apathy despite being a Premier League club forever. That's a feat. That's because of Liverpool mostly tho. Leeds are nothing, a relic, if they didn't believe they were a big club they'd have no reason to go there anymore
The very fact this thread was started makes me laugh. Like we should all be thankful that big old Leeds are back at the expense of (probably) little old Bournemouth. They've been useless for the best part of 2 decades and have been where they deserved to be. A place they'll probably be going back to after their holiday in the Premiership
I'm glad there promoted, if they **** up again and go straight down so be it, but fans as rabidly passionate as them are rare, and it'll be fun playing them again. I'd rather they're in the Prem that Villa anyway.
The best thing about Leeds coming up is Bielsa. Top manager and funny bloke too. He'll upset a few managers, reporters and fans next season. He can be quite blunt and is brutally honest.
What's this thread still doing here? Yay Leeds are back in the Prem ****s n giggles, and you'll probably beat us next season if we churn out this **** again.
Leeds will last 3 seasons in the Prem absolute max - Autumn, Winter, Spring! How anyone considers them a big team is beyond me - 16 years out of the Prem, a stadium smaller than some League one clubs, no players anyone's heard of. They will have to spend big to be in with a shout of staying up and even then may not make it.
Don't get me wrong we are not a big club anymore - late 90's - early 00's maybe but since we have regressed to a similar level as West Ham! Just with a more apathetic fan base and a much ****ter owner than Leeds. And throwing the manager in like that is unfair - Bruce or Bielsa? I could think of several Champ managers I'd rather have. I always like the new teams coming up as the fans have that sense of what could be and for me that's what footballs about but I think Leeds are in for a tough year unless they spend mega money and even then its not guaranteed. Very much so! I think anyone past Wilder for manager of the year would be absolutely abhorrent - what he has done with that squad is a miracle. I get the feeling though that unless they keep Wilder and invest they will be found out eventually - a bit like Bournemouth had a great core who'd get them up and kept them up but eventually they get found wanting - not sure but possibly not as long a stay in the league. Leeds on the other hand I think will do a Villa. Wolves were a bit of a yo-yo club previously in and out of the league and their last foray into the EPL was only 6 years prior to their return (they've been up and down a few times since Leeds were last in the EPL) but they did very well when they came up this time and have invested very well in their playing squad - again I'd suggest we are now behind Wolves due to that last half sentence. Who would you think is a bigger team now Wolves or Leeds?
