What is it? Now we are all but a l1 club, the value of the club will obviously fall. Does that make it more likely it’ll sell, will the Allams now take a hit to sell or are we lumbered with them for longer
That was the most concerning line of the whole presser. Was 1 win in 19 games part of that plan as well?
It's a phrase that kept getting repeated. As Mike White (?) said, it should have been asked during the post match interview.
Burnsy probably would've asked if they had not been cut off. Humberside is getting banned soon, surely? They're doing more digging than HDM and Bucks did.
Fair point, I suppose they can keep charging the club interest on their 'gift' on top whilst these monies come through. If they have a plan, I am pretty sure they haven't shared it with McCann.
Feel sorry for the admin staff and ground staff ,because you can bet your bottom dollar, they will will be the first to suffer cutbacks. players can sod off, well most of this lot anyway.
I dint know how much their 'advisors' get paid, but they need to be off the bill too.... But I'll give them this for free... the only way you are going to get your money back is by promotion to the Championship for starters. You will not do that with boys against proper men in Division 1. You need a manager who's record is better that getting to the play offs, who can bring some people with balls in and you will have to pay to get him. Sack Darnboroughs salary off, go and get Mick McCarthy and you might in two years get back to where we should have been today.
I was wondering about “the plan” along the lines of, is this what makes a sale go through? I think I’m clutching at straws, but it’s the only Hope I’ve got, as McCann is going to be there next season if the Allams are still with us.
Maybe its sold already no matter where they finish. The new owners dont want McCann and this is just a final dig at the fans from City management. The players aren't this bad! Dare to dream.
But according to Ehab the interest they are getting pays the interest of the loans from the banks etc. When they took over the club had liabilities with big interest rates, they managed to borrow the money from other sources with less interest which is why the club pays
Its bigger than That Pudsey.... remember when we were promoted how it was said that if affected the economy of the region.... now think the reverse...
Again fair point Geo, and like everyone else I am scratching my head/clutching at straws at whatever 'plan/bullshit' they supposedly have. Given that I know they 'want to leave us where they found us', but yet greed, pride and narcissism rules the Allam's basic thinking. To be honest, I am simply too angry and at a loss to add anything to this worthy conversation mate.
Sad times. I have thought for a few years now that the Allams are running the club and stadium down as a get back at the council for not selling ground to them. Can see at some point they will get there money back, probably have already, and put club in to admin then offer to buy the ground and Walton street land for next to nothing. Thought all along the land is what they really wanted. I could well imagine the players could have been under orders not to win. Remember in the 70s watching motd Leeds v Southampton match where Leeds made something like 20 plus passes without a challenge. Found out later it was a protest by the Southhampton players for something which Don Revies success at the club became tainted. Something similar could be going on here but for different reasons. Probably completely wrong only time will tell.
