Don't think anyone has said that LJ's dismissal, was the wrong decision, in fact I think everyone has accepted or understood that a change was inevitable..even me!! Yes he was fired for his failures, failure to get us into the playoffs but kept, for four and half years for his achievement in keeping us and competing in the championship for his time with us, which was longer than any manager since AD.....Call him what you like, but they are the facts.........so I'm defending LJ, when he gets slated when negative situations occur, especially after he's left........ IMO it's tedious ..
Streaky Johnson ? Squandered Johnson is far more accurate. We get asked on here who we want as our next manager. Where's Junior ending up ? My bets on Paulton.
For someone you wanted gone for so long, I find it odd how much interest you're showing in him since he left
Are we really STILL debating LJ? Really? He’s gone. ‘Lover’ or ‘hater’ he’s gone. Move on - nothing to see here.....
What is funny and laughable is that some people seem to have forgotten that this is a forum where discussion about our football team is meant to take place and sometimes there are going to be things that even the most happy clappy fan might not like or indeed vice versa with critics of certain things that have happened. What is funny and laughable is people who do not even watch games, expressing an opinion about those games, like tactics, substitutions etc. LJ made us competitive and stable in the championship over 3 seasons and for that I for one thank him because he took to that level a level that had eluded us in the past, for 3 seasons he made us a force between August and December and dreadful between January and April. My comment about Holden and his substitution was that we had nothing too lose and everything to gain by going for the win and his substitution was negative within that context and tethering the best qualities of our most productive player, which is symptomatic of decisions that have been made by LJ at this stage of the season, such as his substitution of Hunt for Vyner when trying to salvage something from the home game against Sheffield Wednesday.
I see Stoke are beating Brentford, but they couldn’t beat us - which means we must be better than Brentford- right? Makes the 1-1 draw a bit more respectable.
Stoke also done the double over Swansea but then Middlesbrough done the double over Stoke. I'm all confused
