Not overly upset but there is a list of musings for Adkins to think about:

    Lack of width
Pace and service up to front
Defensive midfielder to shield back four v better passer (ie Schneiderlin v Hammond - one may be more suited at home)
    Lallana fatigue?
    Passing v directness

It might be what its refered to, it doesn't make it the official title. It wasn't changed for swansea, it's what it has always been called. The Premier League!

Anyway, we're not on the Premier League, we're in the championship. You'll be telling me it's the English Championship next.

No.........it is only referred to as that by people that don't know better

    The correct title is:

    The Premier League

And it doesn't count as an ENGLISH place in Europe................the Premier League is allocated places, and the team that earns the place should represent the league they play in. When we were in the FA CUP final Michel Platini confirmed we would be in Europe had we won...........it hasn't been the English Fa Cup since we won it in 1927.............these are facts like them or not,

It was bad losers amongst the Southampton fans that couldn't stand getting beaten by Cardiff's second string side that started the racist rubbish.......shame because the ones who came to Cardiff for the game seemed a decent crowd.

Like I said Cardiff had nothing to worry about or did you miss that bit? Anyone who believed the injury hype must feel foolish now.

FFS some Saints fans are getting above themselves here and have short memories. We just got beat by a team that have finished in play offs for last two years and we're still top. Had two hard away games and now z home game Saturday.

Yes, I wish we'd won tonight, but get a grip, things have not been this good for ages.

5 players out injured from Sunday. Earnshaw, Gustede, Taylor, Naylor, Conway. So yes, weakened. One fit striker in Miller. Looks like one was enough!

Disappointed yes, but I hope we're not about to question NA's tactics because of an isolated loss, are we..? Can we just back off down and say.., ok, we lost. Let's move on to the next game. And let's face it, no one else seems to want the top of the table place, so we might as well stay there. Losses are going to happen. We seem to be getting plenty of cooperation from the rest of the Championship. ;)

Can understand giving Morgan a chance, but I don't think Hammond did much wrong to get dropped. His energy often sets the pace for Saints, so the lack lustre first half may have reflected the slower tempo from Morgan in midfield?

It's a close call, may not have changed the result. Seemed liked "one of those nights" tonight.

Sorry but that sound like a Gaymex griper, ease up it is a long season and we are bound to experience a few set backs, time for Plan C.

A good Championship team has plenty of depth, are you saying that is not the case at Cardiff?

I just wonder if Morgan is more of a luxury player suited to home games where he can spray the ball around and begin attacks, whereas Hammond is a bit more gritty and may have shielded the defence a bit better. I feel that Adkins may have chosen to play Morgan to reward him for his goal at the weekend and because he needs to keep him happy. I also wonder if playing Connolly upfront instead of a 4-5-1 away sometimes may be a long term strategem. Plenty of interesting discussions, and thanks for the response about the game instead of England/Wales debate!

We didn't lose because Hammond wasn't playing. We lost because of two individual errors and missing quite a few good opportunities. I do expect De Ridder and Hammond to play on saturday though.

Said more in hope than anger, maybe if that Penalty shout had been given it might have been different, hypothetical now but you never know?

It is not through lack of trying but Connolly has not scored this month and may need a rest to refocus, but what are the alternatives, we are still light in the attacking side of things.

It is nice that we have a squad with plenty of options to chose from for the next game if we decide to tinker.

Makes me laugh the number of Bournemouth and Pompey fans going 'Haha scum losing they're ****' tonight.

Short memories of how their team got on in their last game it seems....
