Sunderland AFC can this evening confirm that Richard Hill and Tony Coton have left the club with immediate effect. Both joined SAFC in 2018, undertaking the roles of Head of Football Operations and Head of Recruitment, respectively. The board would like to place on record its gratitude to both Richard and Tony for their contribution and dedication over the past two years. All at SAFC wish them well in their future endeavours. https://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2020/july/hill-and-coton-leave-safc don't let the door hit in the arse on way out both utter useless
I'm just looking for anything good that comes out the club at the minute so hopefully it might be the next owners getting Donald to clear the decks of hanger ons
Isn't Campbell meant to be bringing in his own team for positions such as Hill and Coton if he took over..? Unsure whether I'm reading too much into it.
I've absolutely no idea what this means ... ... since FPP were knocked back it's all gone mental. Donald resembles an autistic teenager with raging hormones and Tourettes syndrome.
As a recruitment team they were the gruesome twosome ,if Parkinson needed them I’m not sure we need Parkinson, he should know who is available and who he wants . Those two never ever filled me with confidence glad we are shot of them !!!
Never really thought too much of what they did, so not really bothered either way TBH. No mad dash to replace Coton at least, as there's going to be a lot of players on the market soon...
We're going to be recruiting for next season while there is no football to watch. I would guess that PP will know who he wants and Rodders will bring them in. And we'll obviously end up with a team of quick and powerful players with skill and a great attitude.
Hope you are right mate. We are desperate for some pace and physicality and of course a little bit of skill.
