Jordan Hacket-Valton, one of our youth team LBs, has already done a “welcome bro” Insta story to Devine.
Jose said he sees Skipp as a possible future captain and been generally praising him up in the press conference. Though he also mentions that Skipp himself would like a loan next season, either half or full season and Jose thinks it might be best, despite wanting to keep him around. I reckon a lot could depend on if we get Europa or not. With Europa there could be a lot of opportunities to play, more so elsewhere if we trim some fat in the squad (and I think there’s a lot of fat we can/ should trim in the summer).
Gray's mainly played on the right this season, so it sort of makes sense if we're looking to move on either Lucas or Lamela coupled with Fraser doing a good job of giving people reason to look elsewhere ...or, as I suggested, it's his agent looking to get a better deal with his client entering the final year of his contract
WindyCOYS has written a piece about our HG quota going into next season https://windycoys.com/2020/07/homegrown/ I hope that my talking about our HG numbers doesn't unnecessarily trigger the dipshit twins...
Getting rid of deadwood is so hard and won’t be easier this summer. A lot of clubs including Spurs will have to accept a lot less than they would like for players and may even have to subsidise wages. I just hope the club has finally learnt and gets rid of anyone not in Jose’s plans as quick as possible
The thing is that you make that sound easy, when in reality shifting deadwood has long been an issue, be it the two years it took to get Nkoudou out the door, Wanyama torpedoing a move to Bruges last summer, or Dembele and Janssen being injured during transfer windows so they remained at the club It's likely that a fair number of our U23s will be moved on this summer, with Kazaiah Sterling already tipped to go while the likes of Anthony Georgiou, Shilow Tracey etc etc etc are all likely to be let go, but in terms of first team deadwood the only one I'm confident will leave without too much of a hitch is Vorm...for obvious reasons
Kim Min-jae Watch Yup, we've entered Saga Mode, with Beijing Guoan now deciding they won't let him leave If only there was a character created by AA Milne that Kim could tweet a photo of that would guarantee his exit PDQ...
Some other PL clubs would be pinning a giant "RINSE ME" sign on their backs if they adopted a policy of bunging an extra £10m to any prospective transfer fee at the first sign of trouble that every other club would be able to see
