He said they would be looking for nine points out of nine - wonder how that’s going? <whistle>

Luckily you don't have to play well, as we've found out before, you just need to win :)

imagine if we’d signed Woodrow. Couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo today. We’d have replaced paddy with like for like <laugh>

We need Brentford to stay down and poach their attackers

I'm not talking about his misses I'm talking about his cut back that was turned into the net.

Not yet, job not done. Hoping it would be because since I decided to disappear and not follow a game until it's finished, we've won five on the spin. Was hoping it would be job done so I could watch the Derby game.

It probably will be job done by Sunday.

West Brom have to go to Huddersfield tomorrow. Brentford have to go to Stoke on Saturday. Either one drops points and it's over.

Something has to give with Brentford. They just have to run out of luck at some point. Huddersfield need a win to avoid relegation. Both Brentford and West Brom are under massive pressure now. One of them will crack.

    as a neutral...

I think West Brom and Brentford will win both of their remaining games. (and we will see what that does for brentford in the playoffs...)

and you will probably draw 0-0 at Derby.

Edit: oh and as a bonus prediction I have Hull, Barnsley and Huddersfield going down.

and Cardiff Forest Fulham Brentford playoffs.

Sorry but I don't understand your post.

Were we nervous and jittery or complacent and over confident ?

Also how did we need 1 point in the play offs to get promoted from League 1 ?

Finally, if you bothered to watch today's game you hopefully would have noticed how difficult we found it to play out of our own half. That was down to excellent pressing from Barnsley but also because of the changes made to our usual starting line up. It was shape and ball retention we lacked not creativity.

Now if you'd said we looked like a team of hard working individuals, lacking cohesion all over the pitch and giving a passable impression of the like not seen since Heckingbottom you'd have been spot on.

Kalvin Phillips is so often the outlet ball for every player, which is why we look disjointed without him, integral to the way we play. Don’t get drawn in by the nonsense.

On paper they should but this league is bonkers. Need to see if costa is out as well as Philips for the Direby game. We have a very small squad and under 23s on the bench. Might take a draw and a win last game.

Exactly, unless you're at the games it's impossible to see his constant movements to find the spaces to be able to receive the ball. Everything pivots around that and once that ball into midfield is either not available or the player receiving is caught in possession our whole system fall down.

I liked the cut of Struijk jib when he came on. He looked very assured, well as assured as the others
