Agreed with most of what’s been said already. Berardi played well the rest were awful, we were so disjointed. Barnsley don’t deserve to be bottom, they were the better team. I love Bielsa but damn is it annoying how he makes so many changes when Phillips is out. Before he was injured Costa was continuously knocked off the ball, he really is too delicate. I’ll stop there, we won we are top of the league we’re a point away from promotion and we held on which sounds embarrassing playing the bottom team.
I paused the game with 10 minutes to go, paced around for 15 minutes then sat down and watched on fast forward x30 I couldn’t cope. Didn’t enjoy anything apart from the final whistle.
Worst I have seen us play under Bielsa. Really poor. The good news is that we have 3 points in the bag. We will be up by the time we kick off at Derby.
Surprised we had more possession, felt like every time we had it in the second half we gave it straight back. Defending was a bit ragged at times but can't fault the commitment. Really missed Phillips in the middle, that is a position we really need proper cover for as it's the most important in the team. Positive was Struijk, thought he was absolutely fine when he came on, playing in an unfamiliar position. Oh, and one more ****ing point!
That piles the pressure on West Brom tomorrow night. I think Brentford will win their last two but WBA look the weakest of the top 3 atm
Worst I've seen us play all season. I've had more fun at the dentist than watching that. But the record books will show that it earned us 3 points and surely took us back to where we belong after 16 years of hurt.
I agree, when Phillips is out I don’t understand the reason for changing nearly the entire back line.
It must be bloody hard playing your best when the pressure really mounts up. I want to give them all huge credit for fighting the whole 95 minutes.
