    The welfare benefit should not have been slashed as it is. Many people need that benefit to live on with severe disabilities. Expecting them to work is a farce. Maybe we should cut osborne's legs & arms off see how capable he is of getting down to the job centre. Innocent people losing out because of the real con merchants who give the welfare a bad name. Have you noticed that this government have scraped the majority of return to work assistance such as Shaw Trust. That tells you in a nutshell that they have not got a clue about disabilities & go off the general public opinion that anybody on benefits is a scrounger.

    It's a worthy and valid point you make, but i suspect the proposed shake up is targeted more at benefits scroungers, who can't be arsed to look for work, than people who have a severe disability and are unable to work.
