Pack the defence for the first 5 mins. When Luton realise they haven’t scored against us in the first 5 they will go to pieces

I knew we'd struggle after the transfer window and the loss of our 2 'classy' players, but, not to this extent. The points we had on the board just had to be added to in small increments.I feel that we are almost certain to drop now,but for me there won't be a 'soul crushing' moment, more a realisation that the players are of a sub standard quality and after the 8-0 thrashing the other night a total disgust at some of most or them on the books

Can we pack the defence with our strict 433 formation, last thing we need is eaves defending in our box. He can’t go 5 mins without fouling someone

    From the Guardian:
Hull’s badge pictures a tiger wearing the shocked and slightly glazed expression of an animal suffering the indignity of an unwelcome precautionary examination at the veterinary clinic. A similar disoriented look washed across the faces of several of the club’s players on Tuesday, as Plucky Wigan lashed seven goals past them in the first half, that’s in the first half, yes seven goals, yes that’s right seven goals.

No matter how you dress it up or blame we are a sh1t show right now ..the unfunniest comedians ever as owners .. a totally inept and incompetent manager .. and a group of so called footballers that a bunch of 5 Yr olds could run through .. they are a fkn disgrace.

I can’t disagree with any of that. So bad was the performance against Wigan it looked almost intentional.

I genuinely believe that and decent non league team would not of been 7 down at half time. That’s how bloody poor we were..

I realise this is a joke post but it's also what we should be doing. Any normal team after a run we're on, particularly of conceding so early week after week, would go into their next game with 100% focus on keeping it tight and defending for their lives in the early part of the game in particular. Back to basics, just do not let that habit continue, at all costs. I don't care what formation we play, but not making some sort of attempt to be tight and stop throwing games away in the second minute every game is just ridiculous.

It doesn't take much to workout the opposition see the start as a weakness to exploit, so are bound to come out and be up and at em.

Mind you, they could pick any point in the 90 minutes and the same logic would apply.

Totally agree PLT..Hard to believe it’s not been tried( I hope they don’t tell us they have). We let 7 in before half time yet on had one yellow card. Clearly no passion or anger at the forefront.

I don't really get that yellow cards can be a good measure of passion and commitment, especially in the first half. They put more pressure on the player getting it and it ups the risk of someone being sent off. It's a bit like jumping off a 10 storey building to show how brave you are.

Anyway, we had 2 yellows in the first half, Honeyman and Toral.

Stand corrected re the 2. And yes I was half tongue in cheek but take your point. I’m actually staggered we got that close twice to actually foul them.

Ha ha, don't let facts get in the way of a good rant. I thought it was just me losing the plot for a minute!
It wasn't yellow cards we needed (we had them anyway). It was a player, preferably a captain, or as it would be in most teams a few players, having a right go at each other and sorting the **** show ...... with a manager and his assistant doing the same from the touchline. Instead, there was literally NOTHING. And therein lies a massive part of the problem - no leaders, no experience, no 'nasty' ****ers, no balance to the gaggle that is our 1st team squad, nothing, ..
