In this case it's the principle of the thing, it's borderline evil to destroy someone's reputation with false allegations and I hope if it's proved she's a liar it protects some innocent people in the future. Might make the media think twice about jumping the gun too if The Sun are successfully sued for printing hearsay as fact. As for his drink and drug issues I don't have a holier than thou attitude about it, just another human trying to get by same as the rest of us.

There's loads of people with mental issues who turn to drugs etc, doesn't make them bad people. Great that you're made of granite but not everyone has that same level of rock steady levelheadedness.
Scratch the surface, and the picture becomes clearer. This isn't mrs jones next door to you, this is a big A lister with loads of staff, cctv camera's everywhere, and voice recordings from both parties due to lack of trust. Try not to be so dismissive without any knowledge of what you are talking about. Its an interesting case on a number of levels.

She pledged to give all the money to the hospital, not some of it and yet all the evidence of a payment directly from her is a 'pledge' to pay between 1 and 5 mil, nobody knows if she's actually paid it. I could be on the list of pledges doesn't mean I've got 5 mil for them. You've fell for her PR fella. In the meantime Depp spent a lot of time and effort trying to ensure that all the money he 'owed' her went directly to the charities (in her name) but she wasn't having that and eventually got her claws on it in her own account. Wonder why that was?
Yep, Nacho is spot on. She is a little conniving so and so. Paints a picture of sweetness and light. Just got to look a bit further than the nice exterior. She leaps on the charities for exposure and benefit, and that is all.
Poison isn't she. She's convincing I'll give her that, although she is a professional actor so that's not surprising, but it doesn't seem like anything she claims can be backed up despite being in the public eye and surrounded by minders 24/7.
Did you see the testimony video (17/03/20) of her defending the claims? Sat next to her obstructive lawyer? That's well worth a look. You get a real glimpse of the 'real' person. For me this fight isn't against her. Its against every person who has, or intends to use the 'me too' movement to benefit their own cause while destroying someone else. This fight will have massive consequences on the future of fairness. If I come across as rather biased, do your own research, but please don't read the Sun newspaper as the source.

Totally agree with what you say, it's not about her or Depp (although I do find her a bit fascinating from a psychological viewpoint) it's about the big picture and hopefully helping innocent people in the future.
The world in 2020 feels like a rather alien place. You can be accused, sentenced & executed before going before a judge. You can be a racist, for not being black, and all the while you are told that you are the most privileged species out there. Its utterly bizarre. I'm working harder now so I don't become a government statistic, while being told that my past, present and future offends a whole generation even though I have no idea why. I'm surely only a matter of months away from dragging the galvanised sheets up into the woods to make a society of where I fit!
I didn't fall for any PR, I read it on Wiki. I could just as easily say you've fallen for Depp's PR. As you just said, " ... nobody knows if she's actually paid it" ... .... so it's possible she has. As I've said I've absolutely no interest in either person and don't care what happens, it just intrigues me that people can so fanatically defend someone who's an alcoholic drug addict who goes off his head and smashes things up including his own home. It's all very well saying it's just hotels, etc, but the staff are the ones who have to witness it all and clear up the aftermath which isn't pleasant.

Well I've looked into it more than just checking her wiki page which anyone (most probably her PR team) can edit so it's not the same no and the statement that she paid all the money to charity is very likely to be false. Depp has tried to get hold of the paper trial to prove what she has or hasn't paid so it'll probably come out sooner or later. You still seem to be missing the point entirely, nobody apart from you cares how many drugs they've taken and it's pretty much irrelevant, it's about any one person being able to take a massive dump on someone else's life and cost them their livelihood when it's a load of cooked up bollocks.
