The Asian family model was being lorded not that long ago as the ideal way for families to act. Mum & Dad with their tribe of kids, Auntie Fatima and her kids, Granny Mingeeter and Great Uncle Omar all living together raising the nippers with a sense of community and rich multi-generational cultural heritage. The house looks like a f.ucking Sainsbury's advert with everyone joining in making Sunday dinner. Covid comes along and all of a sudden it turns out Granny and Great Uncle can't speak or read a word of English, the house they live in is technically over-crowded and everything that is happening to the family is racist.
