It’s either petulance or a ‘mistake’, a bit like when they bone sawed that Journo into chunks by ‘mistake’ Take your pick.
Which isn’t legally possible and is therefore merely the figment of someone’s ill informed imagination.
It's deliberate to stop the SA residents watch their new team. Gives them an additional year to get us ship shape.
If the deal with BeIN includes KSA as a region, and is exclusive, then there's no way whatsoever to amend the deal without Qatar agreeing to change the terms. Wouldn't matter what KSA bid for it. That said, it's beyond ridiculous that a country's ruling on infringement of broadcast rights from the 2016 Euros should or could have any material impact on the Newcastle takeover. The PL are just making a complete ****ing mess of everything.
BEin have broken Saudi competition law. They forced Saudi football fans, who wanted to watch Euro 2016, to subscribe to non sport channels. They used their monopolized position unlawfully to obtain subscriptions. This case has been ongoing since 2016. Interestingly, fans from other nations only had to suscribe to sports packages with BEin. Their argument is that BEin has discriminated against Saudi citizens. The very reason that piracy started was because BEin applied the same policy to broadcast of PL games in Saudi. If you wanted to watch games, you also had to purchase a non sporting package. MENA TV rights - Saudi has banned BEin the exclusive rights holder, for breaches of their laws. The Saudi market is outside of BEin reach now due to that decision of the highest court in Saudi and who believe that the TV deal negotiated does not apply to them. They have the support of Egypt, UAE and Bahrain.
You should read it, he is behind small clubs like Newcastle being able to have cash injections to break the big 8 cabal (as he puts it) Maybe he knows the influence Everton, Spurs, United, Arsenal and Liverpool as the clubs that pushed for the PL and the riches it would bring and help grow the brand and that the smaller clubs could move up and reap the rewards that the founders have provided.
No. The reason the piracy started is that the Saudi’s stuck one in the Qataris ribs as part of their political fall out with them, and banned them from their market, and openly allowed piracy to boot.
They will compete for his signature as well. Hopefully Mike Ashley will get Dennis Wise to look at you tube and use his South American agent contact to get it over the line
I don't want to read it he's got a really negative opinion of nufc... that fact he's comparing it with Burnley says it all 9th most successful club in the country 19th richest in the world at present. I think someone needs to tell our manager had too because he thinks less of nufc than he does of Southampton .
