Of course, McCann has to go. But nothing much will really change until the Allams, Ehab in particular, leave. The slow tortuous death of our club will continue whilst ever he is running things. Ultimately it's his fault. McCann second, and the players a distant third.
I just realised what probably woke me last night to be faced with the news we had conceded 7 in the first half was the fact that there was a huge electrical storm and thunder like I never heard before. Must have been the footballing Gods venting their anger on the Allam's.
He blamed the ref for not agreeing to his request to have a new ball provided. Apparently when the ref asked what was wrong with the existing ball, McCann said 'Wigan are playing with that one'.
On the HDM there is a poll as to whether 'he' should go with two games to go.... only 74% say yes....
Remember the days when a voice would read us the football results on the telly? He'd be saying, Wigan 8, (That's Eight), just in case we thought he'd made an error, Hull City 0. That's where we are now.
Still fuming, and McCann still in a job the man should have been sacked at the final whistle, listen to his press conference (by the way Ehab banned Humberside doing one to one's with McCann) the man hasn't got a clue.
No doubt the 'professionals' are having the morning off to 'recover'. Then in to Cott to 'analyse' and 'prepare for a huge game against Luton'. Instead, they should have been told to meet in Queen Victoria Square at 8am and made to go up to people, explain who they are and see what reaction they get. A good 4 or 5 hours of that and then they should return to Cott, whereupon they should be made to walk through a Guard of Shame, made up of the likes of Garreth Roberts, Barmy, Meyler, Ashbee, Sarge, Brabin, Whitney etc etc There should be so much carnage after that, that there will be no players available for Saturday. Which is good, because it means Luton can only kick off once and score one goal. City unable to re-start so a much improved 0-1 defeat will be reported. Absolute ****s, the lot of them.
Think it depends on whether or not you think we could find anyone to come in and make a difference in 2 games. If we could get someone who could do that and would want to come (a big ask), then it makes sense. But I'm not convinced by the names I've heard so far (Deano, Andy Dawson etc) even if they wanted it. If we're going down anyway, makes s The guy on Humberside at the moment says he should go now. Then when asked who would replace him at the moment, he says he cant see anyone coming here. That's the point surely. It's easy to say he should go but I don't see who is a) available and b) would want the job for 2 games and c) would make a difference in 2 games. Personally, I'd start looking again in the close season rather than make a panic appointment now - unless Ash, Meyler or Liam want it!
