Just a bit of fun. Who has impressed you most this season from the dugout? not necessarily in terms of success but on individual performances. Mine would be Wilder at Sheffield United - Taken the bull by the horns and mixed it superbly with the PL big boys. Everyone has been watching so y’all know what I mean You can pick your own manager coz I know the Kopites will be desperate to name Klopp for his very good season...not the best in the world season...but a very good one.
In that case, there’s some genuine competition in the field. Some proper facial fuzz going on in the PL. From neatly trimmed, to full on, Fosse level bush. But my vote goes to a man who voluntarily chooses to make himself a guaranteed stop and search, seemingly just for the craic. Step forward - Nuno.
For me, just seeing where Sheffield United and Wolves are in the Premier League Table (6th & 7th) is absolutely outstanding. More so for me, because I travelled to both their grounds when they plummeted to depths of L1. Will never forget the opening day of the season in 2015, when we totally tanked United 4-0 at our place, with none other than John Egan getting on the score sheet. If only his ex manager Justin Edinburgh, could see him now (R.I.P Justin). Click the link and look at the foot of the table and you will see how far in just 5 years Sheff Utd have come... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/33744300
Has to be Wilder. Look through that squad and it's miracle that they're not still in a shout for relegation, let alone challenging for Europe.
He went to Blackburn mate, turned out quite a favourite there. However, I think he picked up a long term injury during a game, so not sure if he is back and playing now. Possibly not.
So you don’t think it’s Klopp? The fact that ultimate passenger Jordan Henderson is being talked about as POTY says it all really
Nuno Espiritu Sanctu for me. World class name, world class beard, top manager, and seems a thoroughly likeable chap to boot.
Wilder. Primarily has a mix of league one and championship players yet he’s got them to 7th in the Prem with just a few games remaining.
He bought VVD and a top goalkeeper, the front 3 world be great anywhere. Fabinho is great and I could go on, Klopp had done a great job but he's playing with top players.
