Afternoon all. Back from Dad's and WFC. I was over the moon with the match and think we bossed large portions of it, despite a very physical and verbal Millwall team (thugs).

It was great to be able to sing "how **** must you be.. We're winning at home!!!

I think Rene had a good match. He was not afraid to come and collect crosses, nor was he scared to dive in at strikers feet. He seemed to communicate with the defence very well, and i would say his kicking was just as good as if not better than Scott. However, this was only one game so he has a 50/50 good/bad record.

It's amazing how hard some people have had to fight just to get a correct diagnosis, your son is very lucky to have such strong parents. As soon as I get a bit more info on the next assement I'm sure they'll be a PM or two being sent over to H. It's good to hear other peoples stories as they give me the extra tools I'm going to need over the years to come.

I have to give our nursery the biggest thanks as they were the ones that brought it to our attention. They were very good, and had a child development officer come and see my son very quickly.

As to your own assessment, I wouldn't worry.......us Watford supporters are all a little different!!!

One of the questions I though of asking the doctor was is there anyone we can speak to who has already gone through this? Haven't asked yet, was going to wait until the next assessment. It really is good to know I have other resources now, so thank you it means a lot to me :).

Right......back to football. After the dropping of Loach last night, who else on the team do we think could do with a game out on the bench???

Sandy - From what I heard from last nights game, I think Marvin could do with sometime on the bench. However, as he is the best we have by a country mile, I don't think it is very likely.

I cant see anyone else who i would happily swap for another. Our defence is the strongest we have, and i doubt any others could do a good enough job off the bat to warrant a slot. In the center we have sent our best (replacement) players on loan in Whichelow, Walker and Bryan. Up front i think Garner is trying and is improving bit by bit. After all he has only has 2 games. Iwelumo might be an idea, but i would worry about us playing Hoofball immediately.

    Spot the mistake:

Chris Iwelumo also got a run out in injury time as a replacement for Sordell, while there was also time for Marquis to pick up a yellow card after clattering into Garner.

Watford: Gilmartin; Doyley, Mariappa, Taylor, Dickinson; Yeates (Deeney 85), Eustace, Hogg, Forsyth; Garner, Sordell. Not used: Loach, Iwelumo, Mirfin and Murray.

Even worse, spot the mistakes (from Sporting Life match report):

Picture: Feeney: Second half winner for Hornets

    Watford 2 Millwall 1
    npower Championship.

Watford secured their first home win of the season as they battled back from a goal down to beat Millwall in their npower Championship encounter.

The Lions finally ended a run of five games without a goal thanks to Liam Feeney's fortuitous second-half goal.

But they failed to register their first away win of the season or even take a point as the hosts deservedly fought back through Carl Dickinson and Craig Forsyth.

Kenny Jackett's side started positively as James Henry tried his luck with an early long-range drive but Martin Taylor, making his 250th career league start, bravely blocked.

It was the hosts who went closest in the opening stages as Mark Yeates acrobatically volleyed over the bar from six yards out after 13 minutes.

Marvin Sordell then unleashed a fizzing effort from 20 yards which had debutant Rene Gilmartin scrambling across his goal

Just back from Mmes spot of retail therapy. Seeing as I spent out on match tickets this morning it was difficult to refuse her.:(

Been reading the comments above regarding the problems that some are suffering. I think that the offers of help etc. are one of the things that make this site different, a real sense of community. Long may it continue. ;)

I do not know what I managed to do earlier but my post did not appear.

    To make up.
Sandy I am sorry to here of your sons news, it must be difficult for you.

One thing I know is that there are some very brilliant autistic artists, like Stephen Wiltshire MBE and Esther Brokaw, and hopefully your lad will have a hidden talent like they did.
