About 5 years ago Suarez was on his knees begging to join arsenal from Liverpool, the season after he joins Barcelona and Sanchez chose arsenal over Liverpool according to Rodgers. I state this not to have a dig at Liverpool but to highlight how things can change over a course of a few years.

With the right manager at the right time with the right signings I can't see why we wouldn't be able to replicate what Liverpool have done

Tottenham had a huge result at the weekend and are now pole position for what Sky are now referring to as "the race for 8th" over Arsenal and Burnley.

    Big stuff from massive teams.

We've had a mare of a season, but I can at least see where Arteta is improving this club. He's got us playing like a team again and overall we're not so shabby, but woe on top of woe our defensive frailities are still there like a gaping wound. We should have beaten Spurs yesterday, we were the better team for most of that game and had two or three chances to put it beyond them, but typical of Arsenal over the last decade, we simply fall apart defensively and throw games away.

Hopefully Arteta will be able to bin off some of the ****e we have in defence in the summer and bring in a couple of solid no nonsense defenders who just do the basic stuff well. If he can sort that, then I think we're in decent enough shape overall.

possession does not make you the better team

you had plenty ball but you didn’t really do much with it

We had more shots, more on target, more goals

we were destructive with our possession and we soaked up everything you threw at us after you farted around with it in midfield for a bit.

The only real joy you got was when anyone came up against Winks who was dogshit bang average and kept on getting twisted

Not sure this is the right thread but Aurier’s little brother has been shot dead in France.

Yeah I thought we were slow in possession, we had plenty of the ball and should have released Auba and Pepe much earlier down the flanks. Aurier is ****ing gash and he was there for the taking yesterday. We basically pissed around and then gifted you two soft goals.

I think it’s more appropriate to put anything related to Serge Aurier in a completely random location and hope for the best anyway.

Apart from Lacazette scoring, Auba hitting the bar and Lloris keeping you in it.

    Keep em coming Kips <ok>
