The FFP link might actually be positive for NUFC. Not necessarily because of financial implications, but because it shows what an incompetent bunch of clowns run these FA's - the PL will be no better. So do I fancy the chances of PIF's lawyers vs. PL's decision makers? Yes. Yes, I do.
the takeover is a matter of when not if... everyone knows it hence all the frantic attempts to stop it
I mean, the banning of Man City should have been absolutely watertight. The fact it wasn't just shows how pompous these idiots are at respective FA's and looking at Masters you can imagine the PL is no better. They didn't even act on Man City - they showed their true colours by waiting it out. They'll be delighted that they now don't have to do anything, and in fact will say something pathetic like "we were confident Man City were acting within our own guidelines" even though everyone knows they're cheating. Seems unlikely that the PIF will fail and this case underlines that fact. How long it takes is another matter.
Quelled surprise Mon Ami! We can now sell the Benton training ground to a Saudi real estate development company for £1Billion and start afresh.
PL have similar ffp rules. More interested in how the financial muscle of the UAE has swatted away UEFA with utter contempt. PL are considerably smaller and less influential than UEFA so can’t see how they can try to fail the takeover.
Remarkable how quick they are on certain things, yet this takeover is now entering week 16. Four months.
