Dominic Solanke has 1 goal in 2327 PL minutes across his career. Yan Valery has 2 goals in 2499 PL minutes. Our backup right back is twice the goalscoring threat of the guy who has gotten nearly 30 games this season at striker.
It's a shame that they'll be resting almost everyone, with the FA cup at the weekend. (I thought it was strange that Pep went so strong yesterday, until I realised that he'd be giving them a week off.) Their second XI should still thrash Bmouth, no real question. It's just a shame that it won't be the big boys, putting on a show.
Calum Wilson - could see him going to someone like West Ham/Everton/Newcastle even though he’s had a poor season he’s a good striker on his day. Ake - there’s been several rumours that City have been interested in him for a while, could also see Chelsea or Leicester being after him. Brooks, King and Ramsdale - probably wouldn’t be short of offers. Can’t see their other players being sought after though, so Bournemouth could really struggle in the Championship next season. They’ll be in big trouble if they haven’t got any relegation clauses in their players’ contracts.
It's probably immaterial as I doubt we're going to be in a spending mood this summer, but: David Brooks really wouldn't look out of place in that sorta-wide role on our right, would he.
If Villa could scrape together 4 points minimum then I could see Watford losing their last three with a hit on their GD possibly having to play City. It still might go to the wire but is unlikely.
I hope they beat Everton because it will make the Watford v West Ham game so much more interesting on Friday
