It's ok Archie is just a miserable **** whenever it comes to Spurs

End of the day...he hasnt seen a derby match for over a decade barring the odd cup fixture between Portsmouth and his beloved.

So I'm guessing he's massively out of touch here the swashbuckling ****a

Probably been to more NLDs than you have, but we won’t go there eh? <laugh>

Old Firm Derby is still on my bucket list. Although the last one I actually watched was in a bar in Spain - the standard of football was atrocious. Atmosphere in the bar was electric.

At least there’s something to play for.

When I first moved to North London, in the early eighties, I made a few trips to Highbury. The North Bank was quite impressive. I have very little desire to visit The Emirates unless Saints are playing there (I’ve been along in corporate on a couple of freebies. Only went because it was free).

Having said that, it’s easy to romanticise terraces and old stadiums, and forget how crap they often were. Now the stadiums are comfortable, the atmosphere is less intimidating, the toilets work, and you have to go to Selhurst Park to get a restricted view.

Basically the game has moved on, and left old gits like me behind. No one ever asked me in the 70s or 80s, if I had enjoyed my match day experience.

Some of the best days of my youth were spent on the old North Bank terrace. And compared to some grounds, Highbury was pretty safe really. We never had big fences at the front caging fans in unlike some utter ****holes that I went to (Stamford Bridge). Some of those big old terraces were really sketchy and I've been in loads of crushes down the years. Hillsborough was an accident waiting to happen tbh.

Buy yeah, the game has moved on. Emirates is a lovely stadium, and it has all of the amenities that the old grounds lacked. Call me old fashioned but sitting on a padded cushion seat with a family of tourists sitting next to you, complaining when you jump up and swear, just isn't quite the same. :(

The Arsenal V Spurs derby just doesn’t work for me, it’s too corporate these days.

Very few seem to be a fiery these days, I know it’s not technically a derby but I’m sort of looking forward to the Leeds games next season, to see a bit of rivalry back that doesn’t involve us shouting Murderers at the other team’s fans because they’re making fun of a plane crash.

Of course we also have the Manchester derby but it’s not the same when the opponent have only got a handful of supporters.

Instead it'll be songs about getting stabbed in Turkey once they've run through their whole Munich 58 repertoire.

Leeds are the biggest scum out there. Sooner they are relegated back down the better.

Although admittedly it does make for a decent atmosphere!

I remember the days when we used to sing One man went to Gas a Yiddo to the tune of one man went to mow a meadow when we played Spurs. Shameful looking back at it today, and I'm sure Spurs fans had equally disparaging songs about us. But like you say, these barbed songs raised the bar in terms of the atmosphere at games.

Leeds fans have sung Munich 58 since forever and still do. Thick, backward, yonner scum bags.

They raise the bar in vileness.

True. I’m sure they’ll endure a miserable time back in the league anyway.

They’ve got some proper horrible ****s in their fan base, and they seem to carry it as a badge of honour.

Albeit, it’s long time since we’ve seen them ‘face to face’ as it were, so hopefully they might have progressed during their absence from the top flight, but I won’t be having any money on it.

Big club though and I’d rather have them in the PL than Bournemouth or the sister shagging tractor drivers.

Will definitely add a bit of bite to the league having Leeds back in the PL

The dirty ****s.

There was one who used to occasionally visit United board. Can't even recall his name. Would cry that someone mentioned Turkey without realising we wouldn't if they shut the **** up about Munich. Munich songs are alright see, it's all bantz.

They're here today, thankfully no fans. Last season they were even giving it the Munich song.

Away at Swansea!
****s must have known I was there or something thing.

Can't argue they are a premier league club but they are also premier league scum bags.
