In a nutshell the opposition has worked out to put all their defensive focus on to our only in-form player, knowing we have no actual tactics outside of relying on him to win games.
I worry we might go for Rose if Spurs let him go cheap, could see us trying to switch some money from the transfer budget to make up for wages. I don't think he's ****, he just doesn't fit this team. If Maximin and Miggy not on the left we're looking at Rose/Ritchie trying to attack their way out of a paper bag on that wing. Buy Willems for ****s sake, he's a bargain at the buyout clause.
Thought Fernandez was awful today. He looked half asleep. He was at fault on the first goal. Had a chance to make a decisive tackle and didn’t presumably as he was scared of conceding a penalty. He left Richie in a much worse position to make the challenge. Why Bruce persists in moving Manquillo to left back I dont know. He is awful there. 2nd penalty was ridiculous - got out of position and just carried on manhandling him. If we dont have another option at left back then leave Rose on.
