Very short-sighted and selfish. Denying their own kids the right to free use of top-class sporting facilities, which in turn could even produce more professional athletes from our region.

I don't see why City fans should just simply accept upping sticks and moving to Melton either - the council do f**k all with the KC other than lease it to two sporting teams. It's our home, why should we move because they're being stubborn? We should continue to fight the decision instead - I'd rather do that that move somewhere that has a souless feel to it, like the Reebok Stadium and last night's Keepmoat.

It was my first visit to the Keepmoat last night, and on arrival the coaches parked up in some undeveloped wasteland. However as we progressed over to the stadium, we passed a dozen astro pitches and a sports stadium ( running track, and in the centre shotput etc facilities, with a seated stand)

Back to the FC fans - their arses will be quivering......but what comes around goes around!

In the late 70s when Hull Fc was getting a gate of 1000-1500 per game, and the Boulevard solely being supported by Hull Vikings 6000-9000+ each week, they took the money did their ground improvements and kicked the speedway out!!!

The nearby sporting facilities and the lake were the only decent part to it. It'd be like plonking the KC next to Cineworld on Kingswood.

Poor poor decision by the council.
Granted we dont know everything, maybe the Allems suggested a structured payment rather then lump sum, or similar (however doubt it or they would of used it for an excuse).
Personally I hope we do pack p and go to Melton. We can build a good stadium, good facilities, maybe draw in hotels and other business to the area, and leave those dumb idiots with a big empty stadium.
FC fans - if you dont want to go then faie enough, good luck paying double rent

Having heard Geraghty's interview the other night, I'm not surprised he's made the decision he gas, he sounded dimmer than an expired bulb.

I don't really blame him though, it's not his fault he's an imbecile who can barely string a sentance thougher, I blame the even bigger imbeciles who voted him in.

How is it possible that the council find the decision to not build a sports village, that would help to establish Hull as a big city, create hundreds of jobs which would lower unemployment and bring in millions of £'s to the city a positive one? Clueless imbeciles.

Why don't you e-mail Geraghty and ask him? You never know you might contribute to swaying their opinions.

    Hindsight is a wonderful thing
We dodged a bullet (actually to be fair the Council unloaded the gun)
I hope we don't put the stadium in the firing line again

Hopefully, the new owners are the right calibre.

I think both sides had a fear of being fired.
