    If some of you dont know (and why would you I havent told you?!?) I am a relative "new" newcastle fan. Started watching games the seaon we went down and somting just clicked and suported them ever since. Now living in Luton town I dont have any friends who are Newcastle fans (mostly Arenal and Man U) and I dont understant proceduces us fans must follow for example found a Atletico Madrid top at the local JJB for a 10er now Im not a fan of this club but a sucker for a bargin but given their "history" (ther stole their kit from Sunderland) do you think that I should buy this top or stay away from the whole unseamly mess? P.S is their any other processured that I sould be aware of while suporting this club? (sorry for my spelling english is not my first lauguge)

    I do the same, I sometimes take a wonder into SportsDirect (don't shoot!) and check out what shirts they've got which are around that price- got a Real Madrid 07/08 shir for like £15 2 years ago. I also have a Euro 2008 Russia (****ing lush!), Czech, and France shirt <-- Not bought from sports direct! I also bought last seasons Club America kit when I was in the US last month- it's yellow and sponsored by Corona and Bimbo; who could blame me?

    Oh yeah and I also have NUFC kits from the last 5 seasons <ok>

    I don't judge, as a student who likes playing sport and going running, cheap footy shirts are my bread and butter...

    After my brother moved to Eindhoven I bought a PSV shirt, I wore to go running and got a phone call from a mate saying "What were you doing jogging up the bypass in a Sunderland shirt?" needless to say, I've tended to just wear it indoors since then!

    As for procedures and traditions....There aren't too many really, always expect the worst (it probably will happen) and become insanely deluded and optimistic anytime we go on a good run. If you ever get a chance to go to a game sing/scream/shout/pogo as loudly and proudly as you can and you'll be just fine!

    Buy it, I have all sorts of footy shirts, used to have a fenerbace away kit, had a barca away kit, had a celtic home shirt from a reletive who moved to scotland, various countries from across the world, Many toon shirts! Finally a Real Salt Lake shirt :p

    Buy it if you want it, it's not uncommon to have second teams or other teams you like. Loads of us own other kits.

    I've got 2 Barcelona shirts (bought them when I went on a stadium tour of the Camp Nou) and I'm a massive Newcastle supporter. I love the way Barca play but I don't support them. I think it is fine to have shirts of other teams as long as it's not another English team.

    When I was younger myself and a couple of mates used to go to Burridges (i think it was called) in the toon to see if they had any decent seconds. I bought an Anderlecht home shirt for £4 or £5. Sure I've still got it hidden away in a cupboard somewhere! Had to look good though so as Athletico play in red'n'white stripes I'd say no, look for another bargain :emoticon-0105-wink:

    Personally I wouldn't buy any strip with red and white stripes, it doesn't go with my eyes

    I have Barcelona, Poland and Blyth Spartans shirts. I used to have an Everton one as a kid <doh>, but only because I thought Andrei Kanchelskis was amazing.
