I think this will improve drastically when Cameron Stewarts fit again, remember last season when he joined, he was the only one in the team creating goals, he had something like 5 assists in 5 games at one point. With Cam flying down the wing, Waggy and Fryatt will score for fun. I think people should take into account his absence from the team when having a go at Fryatts lack of goals this term.
He had some very good games and some OK ones, but he wasn't as good as some people are starting to make out. He'll give us another creative player to go with the ones we have now, if they can all stay fit there'll be some serious competition going on! But that is a huge if, it's pretty likely that Stewart will get back into the team as a result of an injury to Brady or Koren.
wind your neck in. How is it unrealistic if he was probably our top assister? Crikey i didnt realise i stated he'd get us to the champions league, just that we'd score alot more when hes back in the team, which aint hard seen as though we score 1 a game lol
Must be the hot weather but there is a lot of anger on the board today . We should all get together and smoke a peace pipe .
seems people want to shoot you down in flames if you try and seek a positive. i just put it down to some people are maybe unhappy with there lot in life, so have to be negative. sad really, sure theres helplines for that kind of thing Okay so im guessing if we have Stavros's state of mind we wont score more goals when cams back in the team, because hes a professional footballer a talented one at that and the pressure of my thread and expecting a winger to provide a few assists will surely be the straw that broke the camels back oh my christ, note to ones self dont have an opinion again, please ask stavros what is his first then go with it
this sounds like all the "When Bullard is back ..." posts of a couple of years back. Cam is a good player and his return can add a new dimension. But the panacea to cure all ills? I think not.
I could say Stewart will come back and score in every game . Not sure how that puts pressure on him unless he reads this board and even if he did would he really care what I thought . NP , despite what some say, is a good man manager . It's his job to ensure that not too much pressure is put on Stewart . I'm sure he's up to the task . I think having a pop at Hutch's opinion was uncalled for IMO .
Wooden spoons out again I see and butting in on something that has sod all to do with you again... BUTT OUT
Who the hell do you think you are? Your a disgrace !!! Pot calling kettle black or what??? All you've done is have a rant at me all day, what room you got to talk??? You decide who is right or wrong and if you think they're wrong you go for the throat, ignore him StrovolasTiger, he's just looking for somebody else to wind up now I'm not biting !!! I've got better things to do than respond to this fool or his School friend, BeverleyDJH
Hutch mate, Cameron Stewart sure is a bright prospect but I'm not certain he will be an instant resolve to our lack of goals, we still need the forwards to put the ball in the back of the net even if Cam puts it on a plate for them. I admire your positivity though.
there was so much space last night, and donny had no real power in central midfield, to me it was crying out to push koren inside and let him play where he is most dangerous and prove what ive always thought, that it will make us a better and more dangerous team...cairney in the 1st half, made a great little dribble and through ball to waghorn, then he never did it again, like he had been repremanded for it..the point i am trying to make, is that we have plenty of goal threat on paper, its the way they are set out and instructed which is the issue imo, its an unpopular opinion on these pages..but thats life.
Cameron Stewart will be a welcome return to the squad, almost like a new signing. However, he can't be expected be our sole source of creativity, though maybe he could help bring the best out of other players, remember how he appeared to get the best out of Simpson when they played together? It's improtant thought that we avoid putting all our eggs into one basket and hoping Stewart is the only one who will create for us.
When Bullard came back he saved us from certain relegation and then the next season he helped us get promoted.......
you know what, it's not the Donny game I reckon it's Tevez.. he really pissed me off last night, I don't care abt Man City or the CL but just feel he's let down the whole sport and I felt very dissapointed.. maybe I'm not alone..?
