Backroom Bliss

No, its not what you're thinking of...step away from the computer, go wash your hands and have a long hard look at yourself!

This thread, though perhaps a little misleading in its title, is about the current harmony that seems to exist, not only in the dressing room, but also amongst the backroom staff...

I've been watching the Backroom Battles section of nufctv and along with the photos of the team paintballing, its fairly clear GK Coach Andy Woody Woodman, Steve Stone, John Carver and Alan Pardew all get on really well.

Woody and Carver especially seem to love ripping into each other, constantly bantering back and forth about how stupid the other is. Woody is Pardew's appointment and has one of the most stereotypical southern accents I've ever heard (to the point its genuinely funny just listening to him speak) whilst Steven Stone and John Carver couldn't be more Geordie if they tried - and the two seem to compliment each other really well.

Its good to see and its definitely encouraging for the future - just another thing to feel pleased about (for now...) Anyway, slow news day and I'm procrastinating - just thought I'd share for those who don't have nufctv...

 

Is it worth getting nufctv?

 

It is if you can't get to games...

As I live away for the majority of the season, it means I can get full highlights (usually 5-10 minutes worth per match) as well as youth and reserve team highlights. The interviews are decent to watch but a bit unnecessary as usually everything they say is then transcribed and put into the local rags (and subsequently onto here). I find it quite interesting to see who can/can't speak english too well though.

For the price of a pint a month I would recommend, yeah!
