You should state you want someone to break up play, not a ball winner! Paul Scholes is not a good example of a ball winner

So what type of player was he then UFO?

A creative crafty midfield player??? Dont make me laugh. It just goes to show some people have no idea about football. Go back to your knitting.

Although I did like your joke about Aidey Bothroyd as replacement for NP !!! Ha ha Did make me laugh that one.

The only time I've predicted a City win in the past 12 months was before our game with Macclesfield... Hmm...

Did you sit in the East stand?

My mate spent most of the 2nd half dishing some stick to the linesman on the east stand side of the ground, you might have heard him !!!

Brightened the evening up a bit but on a serious note, worst game I can recall for a long time.

You're right I have no idea about football.

Paul Scholes was a Rolls Royce of a player ,to use a cliche.
He had vision , he could pass a ball as well as anyone . Spray the ball forty yards for fun and put it on a sixpence .

He could shoot , screamers from outside the box were a regular part of his game. I can't think of anyone who was better at arriving late in the box to smash the ball into the onion bag.

Despite his size he could head the ball to an excellent standard .
His goal up at Hampden with his head was a bit iffy but generally his heading technique was flawless .

His work rate was exemplary as was his attitude .

I'm not the worlds biggest Man Utd fan but I loved watching Scholes .
The best English central midfielder that I can recall , yes I was a big fan of Paul Scholes.

He was the all round complete midfielder( Edgar Davids hailed him as the best in Europe) apart from one aspect .
    HE COULD NOT TACKLE !!!!!

He'd have a go but usually he'd end up getting sent off .
Anyone , and I mean anyone , who knows anything about football knows this .
It's not some revelation I have just revealed to the world , it's common knowledge .

How can you be a ball winner when the weakest part of your game is tackling ?

I eagerly await the response of someone who , in his own head , knows far more than me .

Sat in the East stand yeah, right on the top row about level with the halfway line. Don't remember anyone going psycho at the linesman though!
