Remember when Martyn McGuiness had to have his voice dubbed for British TV... what was that all about!
No you didn't, but "did anyone in the provisional movement claim responsibility for this?" implies that is a prerequisite.
That says nothing medro. It basically states what the Irish government thought, not what actually happened.
You cannot possibly be that naive?? next you will be saying that the IRA had no involvement in drug trafficing in the north!
Can you read? He just said that the article posted by Med Dog says nothing....and it says nothing. If you are happy with maybe's and probably's, then good luck to you.
That proves nowt. This adds as much weight as you saying you know for certain he was involved - in the know - whatever The IRA have never been ashamed to admit responsibility for what they do on that scale. if they were behind this event i reckon they'd have shouted it from the rooftops. They'd have loved the world to know they got one over on the secutiry forces
So the North was close to an agreement that the PIRA supported yet a great number of Unionists did not. So the IRA go and **** it up by doing something like this that would actually bring them little benefit at all. Sort of a repeat of Castlereagh. Bit strange that it is the IRA who had a habit of ****ing up agreements they supported but alot of powerful unionists didnt dont you think. Remind me has anyone been charged for either incident?
The Irish Government, the British Government, the police, everyone thinks they done it. Tell me, who do you think done it? Yeah thats right they would have shouted from the rooftops they robbed £28m. That wouldn't have any detrimental effects.
Someone with a vested interest in seeing Sinn Fein lose any bargaining position they had around the negotiating table, or someone who wanted to see any agreement scrapped altogether
Well just putting this out there, neither could have been carried out without some sort of assistance of the police. Lets face it, it wouldn't be the first time the british establishment would have used an unofficial force (loyalist paramilitaries perhaps?) to carry out their dirty work with the support of the security forces
Well i dont think they did it so they'd not have been in the position to shout it. At that moment in time there was no need for the IRA to risk this - this is why i feel they werent behind it. They might well now know who did do it, it might well have been people who have been in the IRA - but i dont believe they were in the IRA at the time if so. Tis just my opinion though. I have no proof to back it up, hence why im not claiming it a certainty
Oh Jesus. Everyone points the finger at the RA and you think it was the police. A coincidence then that the bank worker was from a republican area of Belfast and that the guy caught laundering the money was a businessman from the Republic. Don't be a clown.
No, i meant money recovered by the RUC....in an RUC leisure complex. What did they say about that? " the planting of the money is a deliberate attempt to divert attention from the money laundering investigation taking place elsewhere."
