Starting to wish she and the RB just did the deal without the Saudis. Got the PL on board takeover done and then once all the dust had blown over with the external shenanigans had settled they could have come on board afterwards.

 

That's something I don't understand. The deal would have gone straight through.

Which is why I am thinking Staveley has done it with the hope of the Saudis coming on board and then them saying no?

The Reubens are property guys innit? Your ground is being demolished and developed, prime real estate. No two ways about it, everybody who is involved are money people.

 

But if they had done it the way I suggested it would have happened by now. The Saudis could have pumped money in regardless after the TO had happened.

I don’t get how it can take 14 weeks and much longer. Unless the Pl are waiting on something happening that until it does they won’t approve.

 

That’s actually not as silly as it sounds. The ground cannot be developed much more at its current location and there is prime land about 500m away from the ground which could house a mega stadium.

The land where St James Park is is prime development land aswell.

Ground doesn’t belong to us. Belongs to the council. We know they are buying us for the history, fervent support and player & managerial assets!

 

Why would it sound silly at all? They’ll be looking at your city centre as a gold mine.

 

That’s actually not quite true. The land on which the stadium is built is leasehold owner by the council. The stadium is owned by nufc.

Nope. Look at the size of your city and it’s potential. Look at how my city has evolved the past 10-15 years, Newcastle is a developer’s wet dream.

 

To a point. But it doesn't explain why PIF would create a shell company - NCUK, or employ an expensive team of lawyers to facilitate a takeover, which they have based on who submitted the documentation.

It also doesn't explain the subsequent uproar fron Qatar who have some fairly conclusive evidence to show that the Saudis are indeed involved.

 

Like at Everton. Moshiri And Usmanov are in it for the dock regeneration. Buying the club and Liver Building and Goodison legacy are just ways to keep the community sweet.

 

indeed they're are ... exciting times over the next few years with ups and downs but things will move on the right direction that's for sure ..
