I'm convinced that the Allams saw us with 39 points and thought we would easily pick up another 12 points which we should have really . I'd be surprised if we picked up another 6 !
They'll still get paid, it's administration, not bankruptcy and they've already said all fixtures will be fulfilled.
It's the fans I feel sorry for. No Wait.....wtf am I talking about ? Their fans have always got on my tits since the Division 4 days at Springfield Park This should calm them down a bit. Cheating and living beyond your means usually catches you up. Next up : SWFC and DCFC aka the Ugly Old Sisters, so convinced of their own massiveness they will sell anything to get to the Promised Land
Kinell, did I miss something? Where did this come from? Still want us to be relegated, though this is a great step towards staying up. I expect we'll be hearing something on Sheff Weds' dealings soon?
In their League One promotion season, they had a wage bill of £11.7m, with a total income of £6.7m. In a league where the average wage is less than £2k a week.
Sky reporting that the asking price for Wigan is (please take notice Allam snr and jnr) is £10 million.
They were sold four weeks ago for £17.5m cash. I'd assumed that the new buyer had bought them with the intention of putting them in admin, so he could do a sort of pre-pack admin and get out of the some of the debt, but it seems he didn't have the cash to fund them ongoing and he's just lost £17.5m. It's not actually available to buy at £10m, at least not yet, you just have to have proof of funds for £10m to quality to start negotiations.
"This is just a quick message to the fans from the players and staff" "We know that you'd love to be with us but we're going to give it our absolute all until the end of the season. A lot of things have happened over the last few days which none of us expected but I want you guys to know we will fight until the end. "The most important thing is keeping the club afloat and trying to stay in the division. In the last six games, we will give it our absolute all and if we can do something together and stay in the league, that would be amazing. "I'd like to thank everyone for their continued support. The Wigan fans have been amazing sending me and the other players lovely messages. Sam Morsy (Wigan Captain)
