Rodwell apologises to season card holders for repay delay and thanks 10k-plus fans who have renewed

There’s a lot of hatred for Rodwell out there. But my question would be, if you watch a puppet show and one of the puppets is ****, do you have a go at the puppet or the puppeteer? I have nothing against Rodwell. He’s done nothing at any club he’s been at (or less) yet his (probable) mate offers him good money to come to SAFC and do his bidding. I don’t blame him for that. The bloke is as useless as they come, but he’s being controlled by someone just as (if not more) useless!

Wish I could see a way out of it, but reading the Mark Campbell thing yesterday makes me think we’re stuck where we are! I just don’t see Donald going anywhere as he’s a slimy twat with no care for us. We’re going to do a Leeds at best and be down here for quite some time

 

With Donald in charge we should be praying that we do a Leeds at best.

It's unsubstantiated (my take on it I mean) but I believe the facts are that Rodwell was on the EFL board when Donald was green lit to take over Sunderland, despite him not having a pot to piss in, then later on Rodwell joins the Sunderland board.

Make of it what you will but my view is they're a bunch of dodgy bastards. Mates doing each other favours and dragging our club into the dirt on the way.

 

It has to be more effective than the bad grammar, faux-coffin and skid-marked bedsheet method of those up the road.

Drain their cashflow. Then let's see how smug Charlie Methven is, the kernt. Christ I want to punch that bloke hard in the face, repeatedly.

He’s one of those that, no matter how many broken bones you gave in your hands, you’d keep punching till they’re all broken. Then start kicking him isn’t he!!

 

I wonder how many league one clubs have 10k season cards renewed. For me it’s absolutely unreal, I pay mine as a one off so happy to do so once crowds are allowed back.
I’m completely making this amount up, but if season cards average say £300, that’s £3 million. Topped up with the safc store ‘if they ever sort it out as it’s a shambles’. Not sure any TV money next season, but even with these alone that should put us in a healthier position than a lot of clubs.

I’d also only look at some decent free transfers, from a cost perspective I wouldn’t wanna pay a fee, and I’d be offering a lower wage than normal. For me any player would rather receive something than sitting about earning nothing and not playing.

Finally Donald needs to realise the tough times we are In ‘Wigan for example’ and offer the club to a buyer for a much lower price, I get many staying away but I won’t as my 10 year old loves it.

It looks that way, or at least that 14k have refused to renew.

I’m sure many more will when it comes to the crunch but it’s feasible that we will kick off with about 10k missing, which will not only threaten the club financially, it will absolutely destroy what’s left of the atmopshere in the stadium making it an even heavier burden on the players to play there.

There’s no end in sight.
