Michael Eavis quotes this festival as his inspiration for Glastonbury - and although he made a loss at the first attempt in 1970, I'd think he's made enough now to think that it was a worthwhile venture
bought simple minds tickets for wellington december 2020 in december 2019 first day they went on sale because of the chynah virus they will be here december 2021 two years between buying the ticket and seeing the band must be heading for some sort of record and that could push out further yet at least omd will still be supporting them down here
I had a pile of gigs lined up for March/April this year - all moved to October and now they have been moved again to Feb/March next year! At last they have finally started releasing new gigs for next year too, although the missus is still a bit wary about going. Not seen Simple Minds, was never really a fan but she's seen them and says they were very good. OMD I've seen - they're top notch live so enjoy!

Or as they are known to me, Snore Patrol.....one of our pals is a massive fan (she has the hots for Gary Lightbody - no accounting for taste) so has dragged us along to see them a couple of times - I've not been impressed! Their first album was good, but it's been wishy-washy ballady ****e ever since!
Some new tunes.... First up, a remix of Crass song "They've Got A Bomb" - love the new lyrics - Fight War, Not Wars....
And one very suitable for our times....Nice bit of Ska with a message as subtle as a brick in the face
And a wonderful new tune from former Carter USM front man Jim Bob - another strong political message... Loved this in the comments @kiwiqpr
