Wigan are currently on 50 points after 40 games (14th place). Technically on 38 points. They will be re-inserted after 46 games when we know how many points they actually will finish with given that if they "naturally" finish in the bottom 3, the 12 point deduction would apply next season in L1. It seems that the Wigan players are finishing the season unpaid, it will be interesting to see if that has an impact on their performances.

The desire should be to keep as many clubs as possible below us to keep us away from the drop zone. Ergo a draw is optimal. Unless remaining bottom 8 team match-ups include ourselves (a win for us is obviously better against Wigan & Luton) , ideally we want those matches to end in results that keep 'em below us - most likely draws given the tightness of the bottom 8 points-wise.
