I am going to ask you to read what I wrote and not make inferences as to what I may or may not think.
Rebel I've got no problems with you, I know you're just doing this to make Medro look like a ****, but I was asking you if you honestly believed what you posted. I'm not reading between the lines, I'm just commenting on what's been said so far
Of course it doesn't and don't expect him to give you a straight answer. The wee man in Rome holds a lot of influence throughout the world and him giving folk the nod to put a rubber on it could save millions of lives. But Rebel thinks they should just be careful with who they are humping instead. I wonder Rebel if you would feel the same way if you had AIDS.
The church should drop the whole anti-condom thing - surely, very few people would dispute that It's hopelessly outdated but the Vatican will probably catch up to modernity in a couple of hundred years once everyone else has moved on several bounds. However, blaming the Vatican (16.7% of Africans are Catholics) for AIDS spread around Africa says more about the people doing the accusing. There are more Pentecostals than Catholics in Africa - I've no idea how many protestants once you add all the Anglicans, Calvinists and the rest of it. Pentecostals don't believe in rubbers either - curious that no-one is blaming them.
Statistically, protestant leaders doing the same would save more lives - why aren't you having a go at them? Oh, aye, cos you're a ****ing bigot.
If more people suffered from Ian Beale's shameful condition, then contraception wouldn't be an issue.
Is it because jonnies have spermicide in them? So you're actually killing sperm. Whereas when you spunk onto the sheets, the sperm swim away and live happily ever after.
I honestly believe what I posted. My own feelings on what should and shouldn't happen are tempered by the fact that the logic of the church is absolutely irrefutable.
So no sex before or outside of marriage then? That's not a solution to the problem. People have sex, get over it, the best thing you can do is tell them to be careful when they do it, and condoms are the only answer so far. How you can believe that abstinence is the answer baffles me?
He asked the question Do you really think it's god's will for his creations to not have sex? You didn't answer it.
No offence anybody, but when it comes to strange rules and policies, the Catholic church is nearly on a par with Islam. It's chilled out a bit over the last few years, but still some bizaare stuff in there.
Do I really believe it, as if it were something I had suggested. No. The position of the church doesn't reflect that either.
i haven't argued my own thoughts at all.....ever. i have argued from a factual position. The fact is that the position adopted by the church is 100% effective against the spread of STD's.
Another way to stop the spread of STDs would be for anybody who has sex to commit suicide immediately. But there's just as much chance of that as there is of worldwide abstinence. Just because something would work, doesn't mean that it is workable.
