    that deal looks weird to me as the fees seem massively inflated yet surely would make more sense to make the fees lower than normal and just keep the difference (reputedly £15m ) the same .

    It is a FFP fiddle, both players are written down to low figures in both clubs books so it produces a false profit of circa £50m for each club to show as profit. It should be investigated as City were.
