I'm convinced they know they have to legally pass it , but for whatever reason want to fail it. I'm wondering if they legally can just hide behind saying there's no timescale for as long as it takes for one of the buyers or the seller to pull out.. it really is ridiculous... they have no legal reason to fail it ... nothing.
I reckon if this was the case the Saudis would have just told PIF to wash their hands of the whole deal. They are a sovereign state - they will not be dictated to by the Premier League , especially when it involves appeasing the Qataris. I still think the PL are wringing their hands wondering what to do.
I have to say that surely it either passes or not? surely negotiations would mean there's no point in the test
Yep, the problem with this is the two things - NUFC takeover and PL piracy - are utterly unrelated. I get it might make it seem more complex, but one has nothing to do with the other. Even the WTO can't link the PIF to broadcast piracy, and the only implication was that the KSA authorities - which the PIF aren't - should have done more. NUFC - Mike's company, privately owned. PIF, investment arm and financial muscle behind PCP (UK company), the buyers. PL piracy in KSA, complained about by BeIN. **** all to do with Mike selling a company to investors. For me, the club is a member of the PL, there by virtue of being in the division through the rules and regs of the UK league system. The PL's only duty here is a duty of care to its' members. The more I look at it, the more I struggle to get my head around how Richard Masters, representative of 19 other clubs, is in charge of making a decision on who owns Newcastle. The test is only supposed to be there to avoid fiasco's like Thaksin Shinawatra - a situation that Amanda Staveley herself helped solve!!! And now they can't decide whether to approve her own funded acquisition? After Mike Ashley relegated the club twice? I think Masters should be hauled before a ****ing committee.
The entire sport is corrupt... run by the scum of the earth. There's politics and they're no doubt more disgusting and wrong than anyone could possibly imagine. there's bad guys playing dirty left right and centre in all this.
Well he didn't move much in that first half. None of them did but that is tactical from Bruce "backs to the walls boys!". My main concern with Longstaff is he can't even make a 5 yd pass now. His distribution is literally verging on a criminal offence its so bad.
When you hear this **** keyes saying this you should know ITS HAPPENING the presenter also claimed that he had difficultly accepting that the deal is happening due to a row between the company for which he works, BeIN, and the Saudi Arabian state, with the former accusing the latter of being behind pirated television service BeoutQ. "I do like Newcastle… I love Newcastle as a football club. They don’t like me. And they don’t like me because they’ve misunderstood the message that I’ve been carrying. “What I said recently in the Gray Lounge on BeIN Sports: ‘I wish it was any other club [than Newcastle being taken over]’ I said that not because I was trying to steer Saudi money to any other club, but [I said that] so that I could be as critical as I was going to be of the prospect of the Saudis owning Newcastle.
In the fullness of time you believers will understand the errors of your ways and wish you'd joined the doubters. The great fat f*cker who is our master has decreed that " he who believes in takeover wears our Lonsdale trainers ".
It's cringey... they seem to think they matter or hold a belief that people involved in the deal care about the fans...
