So telling people not to bang knowing quite rightly they will is the solution.

Do you not think the no rubbers policy is outdated and ridiculous?

Seeing as you are fond of simile's today, here is one for you.

it is a bit like the grand wizard of your lodge asking you not to wear high heels on your marches. Then you complaining about having sore feet afterwards.

Not in a lodge. How about you answer the question.

Do you not think the no rubbers policy is outdated and ridiculous?

Seeing women on the News in Africa with AIDS and 8 children does sicken me somewhat, it would be more humane to shoot the offspring to reduce further generations of suffering. Much the same way as trying to eradicate foot n mouth:emoticon-0105-wink:

Your Lodge membership is irrelevant to the point I was making.
I'll take it that you accept that by your lack of response.

I am a left wing libertarian Med Dog, people can do what they want. This isn't a diktat from Rome, it is a guide on how folk should consider living gtheir lives. An aspiration rather than a policy. As such, it isn't outdated and it isn't ridiculous. You have chosen to frame it as something it is not. This is in no way surprising.

Do you think people in Africa see it as that?

The fact of the matter is, he could save millions of lives by changing this "aspiration"

    But he chooses not to.

The Pope and the Catholic church would need to seriously invest in some PR gurus to market their brand of ***** harbouring freaks led by a German ex Hitler youth member........ I doubt Max Clifford could make him look human

The fact of the matter is that millions of lives could be saved if people heeded the lesson. This is absolutely indisputable.

Serious question but why does the Catholic church have such a problem with people wearing condoms? I've never understood it.

They advocate the pull out method so what difference does it make shooting your load into a bag of rubber rather than your bed sheets?

I know you're trying to wind the halfwit Medro up, but what you've said seems to indicate that you do...

Med Dog has a habit of reading things that are not there.
What I have argued is that the method advocated by the Catholic Church is absolutely and certainly a sure fire way of guarding against the sexual transmission of disease.

They don't advocate the rythm method as a way of guarding against STD's.

The don't advocate wearing condoms to guard against it either.

    Why is that?

It is about the promotion of a wider ethos of when and where it is appropriate to be involved in sexual relations.

I don't see how it's any of their business. Do you really think it's god's will for his creations to not have sex?
