I agree , but the takeover happening is the important thing.. if they give Bruce a go it's a mistake imo but I would feel for him.. I like him tbh he's just not who is want spending money and don't think he knows how to play good football

 

Their squad is also more expensive than Liverpool's

That first half boiled my piss. A bit better in the second half, but ffs, that first half was an embarrassment to the club. Awful to be associated with football like that. I’ve defended Bruce on many occasion, but that wasn’t good enough at all.
We need this takeover more than ever.

I'm just not going to blame Bruce.. I said before kick off they had no chance and if you look at the squads that was an accurate hypothesis. Man City took this so serious they rested their best players vs Chelsea 3 days ago.. ours were ran into the ground vs villa... They never had a chance... it's about staying up and hopefully a takeover...

 

Hit home today when my missus (who hasn’t much interest in football) who watched the match with me said “is there any point you even watching this? Don’t they need the ball to score?”

I do feel people are being dismissive of how much better man city are.

 

Looking at the positives, at least we had a cup run this year and for once didn't go out to lower league opposition. I think even with that first half performance Bruce still took the cup seriously, he just got it wrong today. We hoped for a shock but didn't really expect one. I think a lot of people are just taking this harder because of the frustration with the takeover. We've had a glimpse of something better and it makes what we currently have seem worse.

Got it wrong? Mate, there was no “getting it right”. We were only there because of a favourable draw, we lost as soon as we were likely to.

Not even Bruce’s fault. It’s just an aimless club shorn of any ambition.

 

I’m taking it badly as it was a poor performance and, therefore, a bad result. Money is no excuse for a performance like that.

That’s true but to setup the way we did in the first half is a joke. It’s an fa cup tie bit a league match. We are not bothered about goal diff.

We had less than 30 completed passes in the first half. 18% possession at home.

Player for player we should be fit enough to match them man ok man regardless of skill. We literally sat two banks of five and that’s why Bruce is a bad manager. He could have said go out there and close them down. Play positive we are expected to lose.

But we lost before a ball was kicked.
