Strawman argument here. It is a petty misdemeanor in the context that it wasn't used, he was in possession of it in a country where gun ownership is around 50% and there are more guns than there are human beings. It's a crime, but talking about mass shootings etc is just pretending a crime was worse than it is. So you can get off your high horse. He didn't commit a school shooting, and it actually happened while he was at school, a full decade before he was shot and killed. As usual, you fixate on something that allows you to completely ignore any salient points and make some dogshit disingenuous argument while clutching your pearls. And again, literally none of this justifies him being shot. None. And that's the point I made to Makemstine, before you desperately waded in with your usual disingenuous patter.
jees the guy identified him as a felon who had been known to be armed, then the felon tried to take his gun off him , and the weapon was not pointed at him, before he tried to take it.it is on video evidence, CNN only show a 6 second clip where he entered the building with not an ounce of perspiration on him yet he had supposedly been jogging, where is the rest of that video where he is looking through the guys tool kit, and if its all nicey nicey why does he take off like a rat up a drain pipe. this can be see on video as well. You sound like Sherrie Blair trying to defend a grooming gang who have been caught on video
See this is where you accuse me of believing all kinds... and here you are believing the story of the guy accused of murdering him not only was he not armed, but even in the call McMichael made a few weeks before, he just said he thought he was guessing he might be armed. So no, he was not 'a felon who was known to be armed' - particularly not to the person who shot him, who had never seen him with a gun in his hand. Ever.
Whatever christ alive, on that note I'm off to bed, no point arguing with someone who not only is clueless, but actually speaks like he's in Clueless.
I think the systematic oppression of any group of people is wrong, regardless of whether it's race or religion or background or whatever that is the cause of it. But it is something that has happened consistently throughout human history and is going on right now all over the world. Tear down as many statues as you like and it isn't going to make any difference to it, just leaving less places for pigeons to get a bit of a rest.
The Almonds' alternative viewpoint is designed to be controversial. He's nothing more than a sad, nutty attention seeker who welcomes negative responses on the basis that it's better than being ignored!
If it decreases the criminal population (don't forget/'conveniently' ignore the fact that he was on probation when this happened), it's fine by me!!
"And again, literally none of this justifies him being shot." I never once say it did, I wasn't discussing the incident at all ... nor am I on a high horse. I was merely pointing out how nonchalantly you dismiss the facts and how automatically you absolve the man. You've already judged this to be a racially motivated attack just as you have with George Floyd despite having no proof in either case. You've already judged the victims totally innocent and the perpetrators totally guilty without knowing the facts. In both cases you're judging people based on the colour of their skin ... ... the very thing the BLM protests are about. It may well be the case that things are exactly as you're guessing but, despite your self elevated status as spokesman for all blacks, you can't act as judge and jury as you do with posters on this forum. In reality you'd never make it onto such a jury because you're so ridiculously biased you'd be rejected. Your blithe apologies, for this man, don't look reasonable. You seem to be saying there's nothing really much wrong with taking an illegal lethal weapon into a school simply because no one was shot. And it's naivety to swallow claims of serious 'jogging' with nothing more than the word of his mother who also can't see any harm in him. I knew virtually nothing about this case until you brought it up but, having seen the trespass video, have to say he doesn't appear to have been jogging, isn't dressed for jogging and certainly isn't jogging in that house. But he may have been jogging, I don't know which is why I'm open minded and willing to hear the facts. But unlike yourself I won't make my mind up until I've actually heard them. Now, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop telling me what my argument is and what I'm saying, you inevitably misrepresent me. "As usual, you fixate on something that allows you to completely ignore any salient points and make some dogshit disingenuous argument while clutching your pearls." Seriously, look at your first half a dozen posts on this thread ... ... and give your head a massive shake.
A criminal who was shot dead by the police shortly after collecting a gun from a man who was subsequently found guilty of supplying it and jailed. No evidence to suggest the police operation was racially motivated. Loads of controversy, and endless Internet arguing, about the circumstances of the shooting ... ... but it seems to support the proverb that 'if you play with fire you may get burned'. Don't get involved with drugs, guns and gangs people ... ... just say no.
What is required is open and honest debate and without the threat of the racist card being pulled. The figures are extremely hard to come by, but my guess is that knife crime is far more prevalent in black communities in London which is surely a valid reason to target the limited police resources into these areas. After all, the biggest victims of knife crime is almost certainly young black males from these very same areas.
Indeed, you might actually want to praise the police for their attempts to stop black lads stabbing each other to death on the streets.
Yep, it seemed that the criminal fraternity objected to being stopped from unlawfully going about their business and instigated riots...accusing the police of racism amongst other things. Duggan and his gang were involved in a war with another gang...black on black crime and was transporting a gun in a cab... My only problem is that Duggan would have had to circumvent the laws if physics to have thrown to gun to where it was found... there then follows all the issues of cover up etc
What I don’t understand is how bending the knee is an acceptable form of protest. Wasn’t that how the bloke got murdered in the first place?
