17 minutes in, and so far I have to say you’re right. At least with BBC you can turn the canned crowd noises off though. Much prefer thst
****, imagine being a Norwich fan, getting to Wembley, and having to watch it on telly with empty seats everywhere. That would be tragic.
I went to the Cardiff V Blackpool playoff final years ago, it was **** then but never been to a big final there.
I’ll take a wild stab at errrrmmm - none. Wembley is boss, anyone who says it lacks atmosphere either hasn’t been, or not when it’s full.
There's definitely an issue with the way the noise travels from one end to the other but ultimately it's the fans who make the atmosphere not the ground. It was pretty good for the whole match but in particular the half hour or so after we equalised in 2017 our whole end was completely rocking. One of the best atmospheres I've ever been part of. @Archers Road to confirm.
Yeah that was it we were in the opposite end and when Adam hit the free kick it took a second for the sound to travel, that was odd.
Only been to one final at new Wembley, thought it was ok. That was a championship play off final btw. Went loads at the old Wembley, always loved it even though it was an absolute ****e hole. Only saw us lose one, league (Rumbelows) cup final to Sheff Wednesday. Won the rest, good times.
Yeah, that was a bit special. My dad turned to me at one point and said "I've never known an atmosphere like this" - and he's been going to games since the 50s.
