Yes. What you are saying is completely irrelevant. The two men who shot him did not know of a charge from when he was in high school at least 10 years prior. And none of the things makemstine accuses him of, even if they were all 100% true (which they're not fwiw), are justification for these men shooting him or pursuing him the way they did and confronting him at gunpoint. He hadn't been accused of any crime, even by the construction site owner.

You're actually attempting to claim that making this known is simply to smear his good name. He was a convicted criminal who had an illegal gun. On the night he died he'd committed a criminal act. Whether the house owner wanted to prosecute or not is totally irrelevant, its still a criminal act ... ... he smeared his own name and there's no denying it. It's what's called a police record in the normal world.

The smearing is the attempt to justify shooting a man based on at worst petty misdemeanors like trespassing on a construction site where children regularly play as it is an open lot. None of the crimes described warrant his death, and since that is what makemstine said, that is what I responded to.
