No way the Saudis would have wanted th3 city game before they've invested in our front line. Wednesday
Based on what has happened in Serie A, i think we can safely guess what the hold up may be. Serie A has been obliged to offer BEin a discount on their TV deal to reflect loss of exclusivity due to beoutQ. That was the legal dispute that led to blackout of Serie A games by BEin. It is now resolved amicably. Applying the same principle to the PL. Due to beoutQ they may be required to offer a similar discount to reflect loss of exclusivity with PL games. That would be where the WTO report came in. It may be that the loss of income due to repayment of the discount is being negotiated as part of some future TV deal involving the Saudi's. Guesswork of course, but a logical assumption.
Just to repeat here - there's is no evidence, nothing, nada, diddly squat which links the PIF to Newcastle United. Show me otherwise. We have Staveley, who had to borrow her stake from the owner (if the CH doc is interpreted right) and a court case which shows she sets these things up without actually having buyers available.
Again to risk repeating myself, all of this is in relation to the WTO report and NONE of it should, could or would have anything to do with Newcastle United. I'll keep saying it, but we're looking for clues that aren't there and filling blanks with our own narrative to support a takeover theory. Not ONE reporter has asked Staveley in her many visits to court "Amanda, could you comment on the situation with Newcastle?". There would likely be no answer, but doesn't it strike anyone as odd this hasn't happened even once?!
We have the shell company NCUK set up on the same date as JV1 - The joint venture company created by the Reuben Brothers in January 2020. Staveley was appointed person of significant interest in April in exchange for charge over assets of Cantervale. Back to NCUK. The appointed directors are Bander Mogren and Yassir Al Rumayyan of PIF. NCUK is a corporate identity of PIF for the purposes of UK law. To be very clear - They were created on the same day as JV1.
NCUK was created to facilitate a takeover of a UK company. It was created in January 2020. There has been no activity other than appointment of directors. Judging by PIF's corporate activity, they are very quick with takeovers. They are not linked with a takeover of another UK company. With the creation of JV1 on the same day and appointment of directors at the same time as activity with JV1, Cantervale, PCP and St James Holdings, there is one logical link. It is not coincidence. It's forensic law.
Chronicle have even started to back away slowly - "transfer plans will carry on in spite of SPECULATION".
The only decision from the PL that would require it to be ‘legally water tight’ is if they reject it. The O&D test is their own regulatory process and if they were to pass the takeover who would it need to be ‘legally water tight’ from? Sorry all - nothing adds up when looked at objectively. It's not as if journalists haven't been wrong before - and as I've said before, the info for the more "positive" ones is coming from Saudi. Saudi's have a terrible habit of bigging themselves up. Ask a Saudi if the rumours about acquiring Amazon are true, they'll instantly reply "yep, with change we found down MBS's sofa."
The shell companies set up by several reputable law firms who attached their names and witnessed. Paperwork was not submitted by individuals. Unless of course people are willing to believe that corporate lawyers will fall foul of the SRA in order to wind up an insignificant group of football fans. I get that people are sick of this. I get that people choose to rely on the stock explanation because there is no movement. It comes down to unrealustic expectations. There are no timescales despite what the media would have us believe.
in Rolands defence I think most people are taking the it's not happening position. If this hoes on another week or 2 I'll be surprised if anyone left hanging onto any hope whatsoever
It IS happening! People need to chill. THey have been told to sort out the piracy - they are beginning to sort it but it won't happen over night and the PL most likely won't approve until it is fully sorted.
that's certainly the view people have , however it is possible it failed and they're simply taking the required actions anyway.
