All this football wages today. If yesterdays players could have visualised......Bobby Smith liked the bookies, couldn't have left much in his pocket.......and the great Tommy Lawton......so broke his former clubs gave him a couple of charity games in his latter days.
Wonder what todays players do with their crazy money......and their agents??!!

City and Chelsea have 100%, so have United and Pool to some extent, but what they didn`t spend on players, they spent on referees instead.

Hakimi close to joining Inter for £40m. Good signing for them.

    €40m + add-ons, apparently

...and no doubt the obligatory buyback clause

Well, it's not like you'd ever have to worry about going to yours, is it?

Lot of reports saying Koulibaly is on his way to City for £72m... If true, I dread to think how much Pep has spent on that City back line over the years, gotta be close to around £300m-£350m.

Was the fee they paid for John Stones worth the cost?

I wonder if the owners phone Pep and ask "how much do you want today,Pep?"

You shouldn't be asking questions like that whilst you still have NDongle on your books mate.
Stones actually plays sometimes and for a full game.

All I know is I’m hoping there’s a knock-on effect and Arsenal continue to give us a laugh and take Stones from City should they get Koulibaly. A Stones-Luiz partnership is the stuff of dreams.

Wouldn’t surprise me Smithy. I won’t ever knock Pep for the way his teams play but the amount he has to spend to perfect it is ridiculous.
