Whenever you see a press release or comment from PIF it always comes across as very professional. If a deal had been finalised they would have released it. I am convinced of this. Ashleys way is the silent approach. He just literally keeps everyone in the dark apart from his trusted allies. He is unprofessional and if the deal had fallen through would he really want to let us know. Knowing the potential back lash from the fans which would instantly put off any potential NEW buyer. I don’t think so. The PL have continually stated that they won’t release any info on it. So based on the above it’s either in progress because there is a serious hurdle to jump over or it’s off. If it’s off then we won’t get an announcement.
Look over here at Marseille: Ex-Toulon rugby club owner Mourad Boudjellal announces he is in active negotiations to buy Ligue 1 side Marseille with Middle Eastern funding: "We have entered into the negotiation phase with Mr McCourt." This group of investors deposited €700m with Rothschild 2 weeks ago to be spent on Marseille should Frank McCourt accept - €300m to buy the American out, €200m to rid of OM's existing debts & €200m for the transfer window, from Le Figaro. Now, does that sound a little bit different to the black hole of NUFC?!
Dunno, mate, just feels like people are perfectly entitled to express their desire to purchase the football club.
