That's him - now who testified in his favour at his trial for her murder?

Yes and no - confusing, isn't it?
In the middle of his trial for her murder, she popped up and testified that he hadn't murdered her.

That's her. She had disappeared from home as a 14 year old at the same time that Fraser was busily raping and murdering at least five other women + a nine year old girl. During his trial five years later, police received a tip off that she was still alive, raided a house and found her hiding in a cupboard - she had been living with her boyfriend all that time, only venturing out at night. The case made headlines around the world, branding her as 'the girl in the cupboard'. She had to appear in court to testify that she was still alive and had never even met Fraser.

    Back to your question...

That was quick. Should have known that one of you lot would have got this. It is a long time since someone has looked at me with that sort of expression. I'm getting old.

Cheers NZ. Why did the US Post refuse to accept a large amount of mail from Spain in 1930 - they were all apparently returned to sender, but very few of them arrived back home ?

All yours Yorkie. The Spanish brought this stamp out in 1930 to commemorate the death of Francisco Goya. La Maja Desnuda created a storm with, particularly, the prudish Americans objecting bitterly that it would corrupt the morals of their stamp collecting youth. Of those which were 'returned to sender' most are thought to have found their way into the hands of philatelists - the stamp is now worth quite a bit to collectors. Take it away 1

What is the (loose) Watford connection between Neath Port Talbot, Wales, Vienne, France, and Esslingen am Neckar, Germany?
