I know its a good few days away but I'm already excited. Fulham and Chelsea! Proper derby's!! No more Watford, Palace and Millwall rubbish! Does anyone know what pubs in Putney are allocated to away fans? If any? Im getting up there early!! Can't wait!!
Is it though? At least Millwall have proper fans. Most of Fulham's fans are mung bean eating luvvies and arrivisites. And Lily Allen and Hugh Grant
There's a rather fine established called 'The Trout' in Hammersmith Broadway you could drink at and walk down from there. It was reviewed as being "the waiting room to Hell"
Does anyone know what pubs in Putney are allocated to away fans? If any? Just do what we did last time and took over just about every pub. No one said a word. Loads of Rangers everywhere me thinks on Sunday. Same as in the ground. The last time i was in the away end with a few R's and only one bloke said something and he was advised to watch the game, which he did. Don't mind Foolham myself as we have never really had anything to do with them. I remember going away with Rangers years ago and bumping into a coach load of Fulham fans at the service station and the bloke said that was the whole away support. They have done well over the years and deserve credit for getting into that Euro final. I wanted them to win. Funny fans though? That Lilly Allan putting on the water works for the cameras when they lost.
I'm really looking forward to it, Craven Cottage is a lovely old ground and with nearly 3,000 Rs fans there it should really feel like a home from home. Have to say that I'm a bit worried about the back four we're likely to feild, which will probably feature Fitz Hall and Matt Connolly. Still, hopefully our 5 in midfeild will boss the game again like they did at Wolves and our defenders won't actually have too much to do. Fingers crossed anyway.
I bump in to lots of Fulham supporters on my route to LR and have to say they realy are a bunch of middle class Geoffreys. That said i'drather bump in to them than that Bermondsy lot!!
Sorry, Northolt I do not drink in what you call pubs? I only drink in cocktail bars, better looking girls in that type of place. Remember I still can get away with looking 59/60 but think 29/30! how about you? still at the nonces?
The Coat and Badge's a good family friendly one, I used to manage it. Mostly Fulham fans, but they're very tolerant to well behaved away supporters - I remember having a singsong at closing time with a bunch of Scousers one night. Bit I also had to put up with the Headhunters one New Years day when Fulham hosted Chelsea. Horrible, horrible day, and had to shut the pub so the police could move them on after the game. None of the home fans turned up that day, thank God.
Been watching regular since 75. Back then - this was such a local special match. Proper local derby. More so in some ways than Chelsea who sometimes swamped us and the whole experience was generally like playing wall but with no police present at all.
Typical of you QPHa mugs - plenty of us have been going for 30+ years. You jokers will not be taking over the place and whilst you now have a decent team, I hope they turn up as cocky as you lot, as we still have plenty enough to turn you lot over, even with a game on Thursday.
I don't mind Fulham at all, but I do wonder at the stalwarts that were going 10 - 15 years ago - 4,000 at home against Rochdale - make of all the Ruperts and Jemimas down there nowadays?
Agree Tooting. I notice that it's FulhamJohns first post, (bless). Another 'Lilly come lately' i reckon
Remember when they asked Hugh Grant his about first Fulham match, the fumbling fop said (phonetically): "Um, ah, crikey, I, ah think, ahm, it was against 'W', 'B', 'A'". Even the Michael Jackson statue laughed at that.
Fair play to Fulham they have done well over the last few years even though 20K of their fans are tourists. But when some 'Lilly come lately' calls us 'Mugs' and says that we won't be taking over the place on Sunday when we all know that QPR fans have been buying tickets everywhere, you have to laugh at him. I bet he has been going for 30+ years? Thing is i remember that not long ago they were taking as little as 200 to away games, (or was that this season)? Only mugs i see is that muppet 'Hugh Grant', 'Al Fayad' and a club that has a statue of Michael Jackson.
