We have seen a lot of news clips over the years where your police seem to be really fearful / over react around potential arrest or stop and search events. I wonder if it's because of a 'by default' gun threat (due to prevalence of fire arms) and a fear for their own life that they are overly aggressive and trigger happy?
Despite the North African heritage of many people in Spain, there is a lot of racism in the country. They still use the gollywog symbol on sachets for gods sake.
Who is that? Nice try in changing the vector of the conversation, so you don’t know, don’t care about your 167 cases?
LU, that’s definitely a factor and in many cases, police officers should get the benefit of the doubt. However, it’s the overly aggressive policing, predominantly aimed at all minorities (not just blacks), and the outright murder (George Floyd and Rayshard Brooks) that has galvanized the world, across all demographics to rise up and protest against these events. It’s a systemic pervasive problem that now has incontrovertible evidence for us all to see.
I apologize, I should have realized that we had reached your intellectual capacity. No excuses, I have visited the New Dung and experienced first hand what most of you are all about. Bye now, enjoy your trip back to the Millwoe board!
(Whispering - did he leave yet?) Crushing defeat indeed - how could I over-estimate his intelligence like that!?!?!?! Note to self - must do better. Consolation - I haven't made the same mistake with LL!
Think I read somewhere that one police force closed down/fired their cops and started again. The results of a new broom and approach have proved far better in terms of police and their effectiveness and approach in working with the public.
Wait until the first time you innocuously disagree with him on a minor point, & make the mistake of posting to that effect. All of a sudden you'll be a pariah, & will be subjected to lots of twisted mentions & accusations - all of them abusive, of course. It will be relentless, no matter how valid your point is. There is a growing list of people he has decided are his enemies, and I wouldn't call any of them ill-informed, aggressive or abusive. Indeed, the common bond is that they're all good guys whose only mistake to point out the Captain Jackboot might, just might be wrong. Then the vids start ...... It used to be football, him telling us how wrong we were. The classic example being KP, who he thinks is an over-rated tit. He refuses to acknowledge that every last man-jack in the game thinks he's brilliant, but CJ considers that he knows more than vastly experienced football people. And if you think back, there are other examples - absolutely loads of them. I'll cheekily remind you that he thought this guy was our best player ..... Dare you to disagree with him! And then the barmy ultra right wing stuff really took off & continues to escalate. Presently about 10 vids a day, at least, & loads of abuse to go with it. Go on - tell him something he says is wrong & see what happens. Most of what he does post is wrong, so you're spoiled for choice. Daily.
LL can say what he likes, like JLA - the rest of us can individually choose whether to read his cack or engage with him. Same rules for all Shako.
Having thought about this for a day I realise it isn't LL's opinions that I contest. He can think what he wants even though I am not of his political persuasion. It is more the accuracy of the information or data that I question. For example he is absolutely free to say KP is the worst player in the team but if he posted a video claiming that this is because KP only has one leg and this is the reason for his poor performance then I would probably contest this, but not his view of KP. I tend not to question his opinions in his posts it is more the data that I question or the facts, which shouldn't be opinions. Looking back at my posts over the last few days I have only questioned the data and not the opinion he has formed as a result. Why don't I question others, well they tend not to post lots of information they just give their opinions. I hope that clarifies the situation for all those who are concerned I'm trying to stifle LL. I blame my education for my desire to get to the facts.
If you have twitter watch Adam Boulton cut the guy short as he doesn’t like hearing the truth https://t.co/tpuzYL24Xs
So that's a no then, Just playing devils advocate here WJ, but don't you do the same thing when posters disagree with you.
Good to hear Davy, like LL, Jonny thinks he's always right. But like LL or not and I've said it before and I'm not alone in thinking this, there does seem to be a gang up mentality on here. Just my point of view looking in from the outside. I've also always said Davy, there's always the ignore button instead of reams and reams of replies. Regarding Philips, he's not devoid from criticism and there are certainly fans on social media who have been having a go. He's a good player, who Bielsa has made better, but he was just as countable in our playoff defeat as were many other players. He'll never be a Giles, Bremner or Collins IMO, but that's not me saying he's not a good player.
