Going by some of the responses Jonny's received, you're quite wrong. This is a politics thread in a Leeds United forum,(which you carefully avoided mentioning), and Jonny, being a Leeds supporter, is perfectly entitled to air his views on politics in the Politics thread. As for your sniping remark, I have to agree that the police don't shoot people because of their skin colour - but mainly because they don't have guns. They find other ways of killing people because of their skin colour.

Correctamundo. In the last 10 years, 167 people have died in police custody in the UK. 140 of them were white. White lives should matter ay?
Point taken (not sure why you’re still here though). So what was the judicial outcome of these 167 cases? How many police officers were charged for these deaths? How many went to jail? to try to educate you - it’s not about the deaths as tragic as that is, deaths do happen, it’s the consequences of taking a life unnecessarily is where the “matter” part comes in. Don’t even try responding with “Jonny doesn’t care about people dying” as that is not what I feel, think or wrote. It is the indifference to the killings that has lead the black community to invoke “Black Lives Matter!”

In your mind, but does the evidence support that conclusion? I don’t know, I’m genuinely interested. There is no doubt that our crazily insane gun culture is largely to blame for this problem here. It does my head in. Unsurprisingly, it is largely those who fly the red flag with diagonal blue and white star stripes that support that culture here. Not an easy fix given the right wing politics here. So let’s look at the UK situation a little deeper shall we?
We certainly have some blame. Many white British families took advantage of the white privilege the USA had to offer and emigrated there in their droves, but as far as I know, only one poster on this forum is descended from such a family.
