I was having a discussion with someone who said that Black Lives wasn't about Marxism or abolition of State structures but it was merely to point out that systematic racism in British society meant that BAME people were disadvantaged from birth due to the colour of their skin.

I found this to be quite an accusation considering BAME people are quite visibly represented in nearly every facet of our society, considerably so on mainstream media, politics and nearly every employment that I can think of.

Where is this systematic racism manifesting within our society that is holding BAME back from achieving their aspirations?

I am liberal in the strictest sense of the word so teach me where the systematic racism exists and if you can show me then I will take the knee next time I score a worldy at 7s. (Game next week is ON!!)

 

There is no systematic oppression in Blighty in 2020, there are a lot of lazy bastards like me who think they should have the same as folk who work their balls off though. (I don't think that, my brothers have bigger gaffes and more money than me because they work harder)

A materialistic society + 24 hour news/social media = entitled pricks

Far too easy to hop into the blame game as it is lazy, tried and tested to trigger mongs and an endless amount of reports, essays, articles and books that cosset the British Black Man into thinking everything wrong in his life is wholly the fault of whitey.

Having said that I would also say that if Fred (white) and Bob (black) dressed the same, had exactly the same qualifications & work experience and went for the same job chances are in most walks of life Fred would get the job over Bob. In some sectors even Fred would lose out if Tarquin's Daddy owns the company and has hereditary wealth, you can't break through this sort of glass ceiling no matter what your colour or talent.

All we ever hear is the disadvantages, aren't black chaps meant to have enormous penises? You'd think that would make things balance out.
