    In Trulli's case... Yes. :p

Seriously though, no... and I'm not implying that they should either. I might not have gotten my point across as well as I could. You'd have to say that for Barrichello, the opportunity to become world champion has come and gone and it would take a minor miracle for it to happen. He may still love the sport and thoroughly enjoy racing but he's in a position where it's unlikely that he'll fight at the sharp end again.

In not the most well thought out ways, I think what Hamilton was trying to say is that he's there to win, he'll not be content being in a position where he can't fight at the sharp end where as maybe some drivers are happy to be in that position. Like Mansell said after being dumped by Williams... He wasn't prepared to take a drive in a lower team and in his words 'make the numbers up'... so hung it up.

And yes I agree... Sometimes Hamilton is better off just not opening his mouth.

Hamilton is a GOLDFISH. He has no respect for fellow drivers and behaves like a little kid
I wouldn't be surprised if half the grid hate him

I wouldn't be suprised if half his pit crew hate him, considering how much grief he gives them.

Cosi, hit it on the head again. It's almost become acceptable because of "spell checking" by computers and mobile phones that you can get away with it, unlike say maybe 30 years ago where you will get 100 lines until it was drilled in. Chinese still do it "Not good at math? well here's more homework then, bye bye"

British pride died in the 90's onward, I wont sing the national anthem for love nor money and I'll glady admit I'm ignorent in many areas but still learning loads. But for me writing on a forum just gives me a chance to write crap, and to not worry about grammer of sorts (since I dont use spell checker as much as possible) Where in my coursework will likely go through it 3-4 times before being truly happy with the piece without thinking about spell checker, have to use your brain sometime.

And for the record I spell tyre....tyre lol.

Can't remember which race it was... but the team muffed up with Di Resta in qualifying, in a interview he had a bit of a hissy fit about it and had a go at the team. I though... "Bloody good job that's not Hamilton, otherwise the back page is all sorted for tomorrow". I'll have to see if I can find it... not sure if it was just a Speed TV interview.

I think that F1 drivers can be a temperamental bread, they rant from time to time, their emotions boil over... look at Barrichello and his "Blaaah blaaah blaaahing", yet we still think of him as a nice bloke. It's not something that's exclusive to Hamilton even though some would like to think it is.

I agree that it's not unique to hamilton, e.g. McLaren must be fed up of Button complaining about understeer, but it's Hamilton who seems to do it the most. Rubens blah blah incident occurred due to a poor strategy that cost him a win at the nurburgring in 09, the Di Resta incident occured in belgium when he got knocked out of q1. Hamilton whines during a race, not just afterwards.

True but then again he did point blank say he was not going to be helping Lewis win the championship in the final race last year. so I don't think his attitude has changed..

Hamilton seems to be calming the waters again, and trying to keep his (on the surface) good relationship with Button going:

Hamilton says team-mate Button has been better during 2011 F1 season

Now its a fairly obvious statement for him to make, but he didn't have to say it, so its at least a little warming.

As for his tiff with Massa (in the press area)...

    Fair enough <laugh>

No that's not me I'm afraid. I discovered 606 late 2010 and signed up briefly with this same nick. Or possibly Krispa with a K. Didn't talk much there and when that closed I came here eventually. Never tried any of the other boards that was mentioned as 606 closed. I have been on the board of the online webgame F1 simulator batracer.com a few years ago under the nick DoomWear or PizzaSlice can't remember which. That's it. :)
    Do I have a "type-a-like" ? :p

My English is terrible, luckily my secretaries isn't, a product of a 1960's education system, mines a product of the 90's!

I swear out of habit, not directed at people here so I don't see what's wrong unless the whole post is full of them like some "super rant"
